पवस्व वाचो अग्रियः सोम चित्राभिरूतिभिः । अभि विश्वानि काव्या ॥ (१)

हे सोम! आप प्रमुख हैं, आगे की पंक्ति में रहने वाले हैं. आप हमारी स्तुतियों पर ध्यान दीजिए. हमारी सभी स्तुतियों और प्रार्थनाओं को सुनिए. आप पूजनीय व संरक्षणशील हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You're the chief, going to be in the front row. You pay attention to our praises. Listen to all our praises and prayers. You are revered and protected. (1)
त्वँ समुद्रिया अपोऽग्रियो वाच ईरयन् । पवस्व विश्वचर्षणे ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप सभी के कर्मो को ध्यान से देखने वाले हैं. आप अग्रगण्य स्तुतियों के प्रेरक हैं. अंतरिक्ष के जल आप को प्राप्त होते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are going to watch everyone's deeds carefully. You are the motivator of leading praises. The waters of space are received by you. (2)
तुभ्येमा भुवना कवे महिम्ने सोम तस्थिरे । तुभ्यं धावन्ति धेनवः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप के ही लिए ये लोक स्थिर हैं. आप की महानता के कारण ये लोक स्थिर हैं. गाएं आप को दूध देने के लिए दौड़दौड़ कर आप के पास आ रही हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Mon! For you, these people are stable. These worlds are stable because of your greatness. Cows are running to give you milk. (3)
पवस्वेन्दो वृषा सुतः कृधी नो यशसो जने । विश्वा अप द्विषो जहि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
छाना हुआ आप का रस स्फूर्तिदायी है. आप छनते हुए अपनी धाराओं से पवित्र होइए. हम लोगों को यशस्वी बनाइए. हमारे सभी शत्रुओं का नाश कीजिए. (४)
EN English Translation
Your juice filtered is invigorating. You be filtered and sanctified by your streams. Make us people successful. Destroy all our enemies. (4)
यस्य ते सख्ये वयँ सासह्याम पृतन्यतः । तवेन्दो द्युम्न उत्तमे ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! हम आप के मित्र हैं. हम ने आप से तेजस्विता पाई है. हम सभी शत्रुओं को नष्ट करने की क्षमता वाले हो गए हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Mon! We are your friends. We have got brilliance from you. We have become capable of destroying all enemies. (5)
या ते भीमान्यायुधा तिग्मानि सन्ति धूर्वणे । रक्षा समस्य नो निदः ॥ (६)

हे सोम! आप के अस्त्रशस्त्र भयंकर हैं. वे शत्रुओं को डरा देने वाले हैं. उन की सहायता से शत्रुओं द्वारा की गई निंदा की पीड़ा से हमारी रक्षा कीजिए. (६)
EN English Translation
O Mon! Your weapons are fierce. They are going to scare the enemies. Protect us from the pain of condemnation by enemies with their help. (6)
वृषा सोम द्युमाँ असि वृषा देव वृषव्रतः । वृषा धर्माणि दध्रिषे ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप शक्तिमान, प्रकाशमान, इच्छापूरक एवं बल बढ़ाने के लिए संकल्पशील हैं. हे इच्छापूरक! आप देवता और मनुष्य सब के लिए कल्याणकारी कर्म धारण करने वाले हैं. (७)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are powerful, enlightening, willful and determined to increase strength. O wish-breaker! You deities and human beings are the ones who bear welfare deeds for all. (7)
वृष्णस्ते वृष्ण्यँ शवो वृषा वनं वृषा सुतः । स त्वं वृषन्वृषेदसि ॥ (८)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप शक्तिशाली, बहुत सामर्थ्यवान हैं. आप की सेवा भी शक्तिवर्धक है. आप का रस एवं आप स्वयं भी बलवर्द्धक हैं. (८)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are powerful, very powerful. Serving you is also powerful. Your juice and you yourself are also strong. (8)
अश्वो न चक्रदो वृषा सं गा इन्दो समर्वतः । वि नो राये दुरो वृधि ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप शक्तिमान हैं. आप घोड़े की तरह आवाज करते हैं. आप हमें गोधन और अश्वधन देते हैं. आप हमारे लिए धन के द्वार खोलते हैं. (९)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are powerful. You sound like a horse. You give us godhan and ashwadhan. You open the doors of wealth for us. (9)
वृषा ह्यसि भानुना द्युमन्तं त्वा हवामहे । पवमान स्वर्दृशम् ॥ (१०)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप अवश्य ही शक्तिवर्धक हैं. आप पवित्र व प्रकाशमान हैं. हम यज्ञ में आप को बुलाते हैं. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You must be powerful. You are holy and bright. We call you in the yagna. (10)
यदद्भिः परिशिच्यसे मर्मृज्यमान आयुभिः । द्रोणे सधस्थमश्नुषे ॥ (११)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! यजमान आप को शुद्ध बनाते हैं. जल से आप को सींचा जाता है. जल मिलाने के बाद आप को द्रोणकलश में स्थापित किया जाता है. (११)
EN English Translation
O Mon! Hosts make you pure. You are watered by water. After adding water, you are installed in Dronakalsh. (11)
आ पवस्व सुवीर्यं मन्दमानः स्वायुध । इहो ष्विन्दवा गहि ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! हमारे यज्ञ में पधार कर आप उस की शोभा बढ़ाइए. आप आनंददायी हैं. आप हमें वीर बनाइए. हमें श्रेष्ठ वीर्य (संतान) प्रदान कीजिए. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Mon! Come to our yajna and adorn it. You are enjoyable. You make us heroic. Give us the best semen (offspring). (12)
पवमानस्य ते वयं पवित्रमभ्युन्दतः । सखित्वमा वृणीमहे ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! छलनी में छन कर पवित्र होने वाले आप से हम मित्रता की इच्छा रखते हैं. (१३)

O Mon! We wish to be friends with you who are purified by filtering in a sieve. (13)
ये ते पवित्रमूर्मयोऽभिक्षरन्ति धारया । तेभिर्नः सोम मृडय ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! अपनी लहरों जैसी झरती हुई पवित्र धाराओं से हमें सुख प्रदान कीजिए. (१४)

O Mon! Give us happiness with the flowing holy streams like your waves. (14)
स नः पुनान आ भर रयिं वीरवतीमिषम् । ईशानः सोम विश्वतः ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप संसार के ईश्वर व पवित्र हैं. आप हमें धनवान, अन्नवान और वीर पुत्रवान बनाने की कृपा कीजिए. (१५)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are the God and holy of the world. Please make us rich, prosperous and brave sons. (15)
