पान्तमा वो अन्धस इन्द्रमभि प्र गायत । विश्वासाहँ शत्क्रतुं मँहिष्ठं चर्षणीनाम् ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! आप इंद्र की स्तुति कीजिए. वे आप के द्वारा चढ़ाए गए सोमरूपी अन्न को पीने वाले तथा शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले हैं. वे सैकड़ों प्रकार के कर्म करने वाले व मनुष्यों को धन देने वाले हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O hosts! You praise Indra. They are the ones who drink the soma-like food offered by you and destroy the enemies. They are the ones who do hundreds of kinds of deeds and give money to human beings. (1)
अयं त इन्द्र सोमो निपूतो अधि बर्हिषि । एहीमस्य द्रवा पिब ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! हम ने आप के लिए छान कर सोमरस तैयार किया है. यज्ञ की वेदी पर बिछे हुए कुश के आसन पर उसे प्रतिष्ठित किया है. आप जल्दी ही उस के निकट पधारिए. उस सोमरस को पीने की कृपा कीजिए. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! We have prepared somers by filtering for you. It has been distinguished on the seat of Kush lying on the altar of yajna. You get close to him soon. Please drink that someras. (1)
इदँ ह्यन्वोजसा सुतँ राधानां पते । पिबा त्वा३स्य गिर्वणः ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! आप धनपति, उपासना के योग्य व बलशाली हैं. आप नियमपूर्वक संस्कार किए गए इस सोमरस को शीघ्र ग्रहण कीजिए. (१)

O Indra! You are rich, worthy of worship and strong. You should accept this properly performed sommers soon. (1)
एना वो अग्निं नमसोर्जो नपातमा हुवे । प्रियं चेतिष्ठमरतिँ स्वध्वरं विश्वस्य दूतममृतम् ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! आप विश्व के दूत हैं. आप अमर, प्रिय व अक्षय हैं. हम अपने यज्ञ में आप का आह्वान करते हैं. (१)

O agni! You are the ambassador of the world. You are immortal, dear and akshay. We invoke you in our yajna. (1)
अस्य प्रत्नामनु द्युतँ शुक्रं दुदुह्रे अह्रयः । पयः सहस्रसामृषिम् ॥ (१)

सोमरस चमकीला, ज्ञान बढ़ाने वाला व मनोकामना पूरी करने वाला है. ऋषियों ने इस के सहस्र स्वरूप का स्मरण कर के इसे तैयार किया है. (१)

Someras is bright, knowledge-enhancing and fulfilling desires. The sages have prepared it by remembering its sahasra form. (1)
प्र सोमासो विपश्चितोऽपो नयन्त ऊर्मयः । वनानि महिषा इव ॥ (१)

सागर की लहरें सागर में जैसे मिल जाती हैं, वैसे सोमरस जल में मिल जाता है. वन में मिले भैंसों की तरह सोमरस जल में एकमेक हो जाता है. (१)
EN English Translation
Just as the waves of the ocean meet in the ocean, somerus is found in the water. Like buffaloes found in the forest, somerus becomes one in the water. (1)
पुरुहूतं पुरुष्टुतं गाथान्या३ँ सनश्रुतम् । इन्द्र इति ब्रवीतन ॥ (२)

हे यजमानो! आप इंद्र की उपासना कीजिए. वे बहुत प्रसिद्ध हैं. वे यज्ञ में अनेक लोगों द्वारा बुलाए जाते हैं. अनेक लोगों द्वारा उन की उपासना की जाती है. (२)

O hosts! You worship Indra. They are very famous. They are called by many people in the yajna. He is worshiped by many people. (2)

हे इंद्र! आप सामर्थ्यवान व प्रकाशमान किरणों वाले हैं. आप शक्तिमान, पूजनीय और शत्रुओं का मानमर्दन करने वाले हैं. हम ने आप की तृप्ति के लिए यह सोमरस तैयार किया है. आप पधारिए. इस सोमरस को ग्रहण कीजिए. (२)

O Indra! You are powerful and light-witted. You are powerful, revered and respectful of enemies. We have prepared this somers for your satisfaction. You come. Accept this someras. (2)
यस्ते अनु स्वधामसत्सुते नि यच्छ तन्वम् । स त्वा ममत्तु सोम्यम् ॥ (२)

हे इंद्र! आप सोम के योग्य हैं. यह सोमरस आप के लिए तृप्तिदायी हो. यह सोमरस अन्न स्वरूप है. आप इस सोमरस में सशरीर पधारिए. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You deserve Mon. May this somerasa be satiating for you. This someras is the form of food. You come to this somerasa physically. (2)
स योजते अरुषा विश्वभोजसा स दुद्रवत्स्वाहुतः । सुब्रह्मा यज्ञः सुशमी वसूनां देवँ राधो जनानाम् ॥ (२)

अग्नि लोगों के लिए धन स्वरूप, विद्वान्, संयमशील व सब को जोड़ते हैं. आप समस्त विश्व को ओज से पूर्ण करते हैं. हम आप का आह्वान करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
Agni is the form of wealth, scholarly, restrained and connects everyone for the people. You complete the whole world with energy. We call upon you. (2)
अयँ सूर्य इवोपदृगयँ सराँसि धावति । सप्त प्रवत आ दिवम् ॥ (२)

सोम सात धाराओं से उसी प्रकार दौड़ते हैं (प्रवाहित होते हैं), जिस तरह सूर्य स्वर्गलोक से सात किरणों से धरती पर आने के लिए दौड़ते हैं. (२)

Soma runs (flows) from the seven streams in the same way as the Sun runs from heaven to come to earth with seven rays. (2)
अभि द्रोणानि बभ्रवः शुक्रा ऋतस्य धारया । वाजं गोमन्तमक्षरन् ॥ (२)

सोमरस चमकीला है. वह अपनी ऋत की धारा से भूरा सोम गाय के दूध में झरता है. वह शक्तिमान है. (२)

Somerus is bright. He springs from his stream of rice in brown som cow's milk. He is powerful. (2)
इन्द्र इन्नो महोनां दाता वाजानां नृतुः । महाँ अभिज्ञ्वा यमत् ॥ (३)

हे यजमानो! इंद्र अन्न और धन देने वाले हैं. वे महान देव हैं. वे हमारे सामने प्रकट हो कर हमें अन्नधन आदि देने की कृपा करें. (३)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Indra is the giver of food and wealth. He is a great god. May they appear in front of us and give us food grains etc. (3)
यस्ते शृङ्गवृषो णपात्प्रणपात्कुण्डपाय्यः । न्यस्मिं दध्र आ मनः ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! शृंगवृष ऋषि के पुत्र सूर्य को आप ने धुरी पर स्थापित किया है. कुंडपायी यज्ञ, जिस में कुंडियों से सोमरस पिया जाता है, में मन लगाने की कृपा कीजिए. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You have installed The Sun, the son of Sage Shringavrish, on the axis. Please put your mind in the Kundpayi Yajna, in which someras is drunk from the kundis. (3)
प्र ते अश्नोतु कुक्ष्योः प्रेन्द्र ब्रह्मणा शिरः । प्र बाहू शूर राधसा ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! आप शक्तिमान हैं. विशुद्ध सोम प्रार्थनाओं से आप के सिर, दोनों भुजाओं व कांखों तक पहुंचे. हम आप से धन चाहते हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are powerful. With pure Som prayers, reach your head, both arms and armpits. We want money from you. (3)
प्रत्यु अदर्श्यायत्यू३च्छन्ती दुहिता दिवः । अपो मही वृणुते चक्षुषा तमो ज्योतिष्कृणोति सूनरी ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
उषा स्वर्गलोक की पुत्री व अंधकार को दूर करती हैं. वे अपनी किरणों से सभी को प्रकाशित करती हैं. वे आंख की ज्योति हैं. वे अंधकार में ज्योति हैं. वे उत्तम नारी हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
Usha is the daughter of heaven and removes darkness. They illuminate everyone with their rays. They are the light of the eye. They are light in darkness. They are excellent women. (3)
अयं विश्वानि तिष्ठति पुनानो भुवनोपरि । सोमो देवो न सूर्यः ॥ (३)

सोम सभी भुवनों के ऊपर प्रतिष्ठित हैं व समस्त संसार पर राज करते हैं. वे हमारे सूर्य हैं. (३)

Som is revered over all bhuvanas and rules the whole world. They are our suns. (3)
सुता इन्द्राय वायवे वरुणाय मरुद्भ्यः । सोमा अर्षन्तु विष्णवे ॥ (३)

सोम इंद्र, वायु, मरुदगणों व विष्णु को प्राप्त हों. (३)
EN English Translation
May Soma be attained by Indra, Vayu, Marudaganas and Vishnu. (3)
प्र व इन्द्राय मादनँ हर्यश्वाय गायत । सखायः सोमपाव्ने ॥ (४)

हे यजमानो! इंद्र हरि नाम के घोड़े वाले हैं. वे सोमरस पीने वाले हैं. आप उन इंद्र के लिए मादक स्तोत्र गाइए. (४)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Indra has a horse named Hari. They are somers drinkers. You sing intoxicating hymns to those Indras. (4)
आ तू न इन्द्र क्षुमन्तं चित्रं ग्राभँ सं गृभाय । महाहस्ति दक्षिणेन ॥ (४)

हे इंद्र! आप बड़ेबड़े हाथों वाले हैं. आप दाएं हाथ में हमारे लिए यशस्वी, विलक्षण और उपयुक्त धन धारण कीजिए. आप हमें उस धन को प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are big-handed. You hold in the right hand a successful, extraordinary and suitable wealth for us. Please give us that money. (4)
आ त्वेता नि षीदतेन्द्रमभि प्र गायत । सखाय स्तोमवाहसः ॥ (४)

हे यजमानो! आप इंद्र को प्रसन्न करने के लिए शीघ्र आइए, बैठिए. उन के लिए प्रार्थना व उपासना कीजिए. (४)

O hosts! You come quickly to please Indra, sit down. Pray and worship for them. (4)
उदुस्रियाः सृजते सूर्यः सचा उद्यन्नक्षत्रमर्चिवत् । तवेदुषो व्युषि सूर्यस्य च सं भक्तेन गमेमहि ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सूर्य, नक्षत्र और ग्रह ये तीनों आकाश को प्रकाशमान करते हैं. सूर्य अपनी किरणों का प्रसार करते हैं और प्रकाश से हम भक्तों तक पहुंचते हैं. (४)

Sun, constellations and planets illuminate the sky. The sun spreads its rays and with light we reach the devotees. (4)
एष प्रत्नेन जन्मना देवो देवेभ्यः सुतः । हरिः पवित्रे अर्षति ॥ (४)

सोमरस दिव्य है. देवता संस्कारपूर्वक उसे परिष्कृत करते हैं. वह हरा है और उसे पवित्र छलनी में परिष्कृत किया जाता है. (४)

Somerus is divine. The gods refine it sacramentally. He is green and is refined into holy sieves. (4)
प्र सोम देववीतये सिन्धुर्न पिप्ये अर्णसा । अँशोः पयसा मदिरो न जागृविरच्छा कोशं मधुश्चुतम् ॥ (४)

हे सोम! आप को पानी से भरीपूरी नदियों की तरह पानी में मिलाया जाता है. आप मदिर (आनंददायी) व जाग्रत हैं. मधुरता चुआते हुए सोमरस (पात्र में) इकट्ठा होता है. (४)

O Mon! You are mixed with water like full rivers full of water. You are happy and awake. Someras (in the vessel) gathers, chewing sweetness. (4)
शँसेदुक्थँ सुदानव उत द्युक्षं यथ नरः । चकृमा सत्यराधसे ॥ (५)

हे यजमानो! इंद्र श्रेष्ठ धनदाता और सत्यरूपी धन वाले हैं. हम विधिविधान सहित इंद्र की स्तुति करते हैं. आप भी उन की स्तुति कीजिए. (५)

O hosts! Indra is the best rich and the one with true wealth. We praise Indra with the law. You also praise them. (5)
विद्मा हि त्वा तुविकूर्मिं तुविदेष्णं तुवीमघम् । तुविमात्रमवोभिः ॥ (५)

हे इंद्र! आप बहुत शक्तिमान व बहुत देने योग्य संपत्ति वाले हैं. आप बहुत धनवान व विशाल आकृति वाले हैं. हम जानते हैं कि आप के पास संरक्षण के बहुत सारे साधन हैं. (५)

O Indra! You are very powerful and have a very giving property. You are very rich and huge in shape. We know you have a lot of means of protection. (5)
पुरूतमं पुरूणामीशानं वार्याणाम् । इन्द्रँ सोमे सचा सुते ॥ (५)

हे यजमानो! आप इकट्ठे होइए. इंद्र शत्रुओं को हराने की सामर्थ्य रखते हैं. वे ऐश्वर्य के स्वामी हैं. आप सभी उन की उपासना कीजिए. (५)

O hosts! You gather. Indra has the ability to defeat enemies. He is the master of opulence. All of you worship them. (5)
इमा उ वां दिविष्टय उस्रा हवन्ते अश्विना । अयं वामह्वेऽवसे शचीवसू विशंविशँ हि गच्छथः ॥ (५)

हे अश्विनीकुमारो! आप स्वर्गलोक के वासी हैं. स्वर्ग प्राप्त करने के इच्छुक लोग अपनी इच्छापूर्ति के लिए आप का आह्वान करते हैं. आप स्तुति करने वालों के पास पहुंचते हैं. हम आप का आह्वान करते हैं. (५)

O Ashwinikumaro! You are the inhabitants of heaven. Those wishing to attain heaven call upon you to fulfill their wishes. You reach out to those who praise. We call upon you. (5)
एष प्रत्नेन मन्मना देवो देवेभ्यस्परि । कविर्विप्रेण वावृधे ॥ (५)

सोम कवि और विद्वानों से प्रशंसा प्राप्त करते हैं. वे सभी देवताओं से ऊपर हैं. उन को संस्कारपूर्वक अनेक विधियों से परिष्कृत किया जाता है. (५)

Som receives praise from poets and scholars. They are above all gods. They are culturedly refined in many ways. (5)
आ हर्यतो अर्जुनो अत्के अव्यत प्रियः सूनुर्न मर्ज्यः । तमीँ हिन्वन्त्यपसो यथा रथं नदीष्वा गभस्त्योः ॥ (५)

सोमरस को बच्चे की तरह साफसुथरा बना लिया है. प्रिय सोमरस को तेज गति से जल में मिलाया जाता है. वह वैसे ही वेग से पानी में मिलता है, जैसे युद्ध में तेज गति से कोई रथ जाता है. (५)
EN English Translation
Someras has been made clean like a child. Dear Somers is added to water at a fast pace. It gets into the water at the same speed as a chariot in war. (5)
