अभि प्र गोपतिं गिरेन्द्रमर्च यथा विदे । मूनुँ सत्यस्य सत्पतिम् ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! इंद्र सत्यपति, सत्य के स्वामी, गोपति व पर्वतपति हैं. वे यथाशक्ति आराधकों का संरक्षण करते हैं. आप इंद्र की अर्चना कीजिए. (१)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Indra is Satyapati, swami of truth, Gopati and Parvatpati. They protect the worshipers as much as possible. You worship Indra. (1)
अग्ने विश्वेभिरग्निभिर्जोषि ब्रह्म सहस्कृत । ये देवत्रा य आयुषु तेभिर्नो महया गिरः ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! आप सभी अग्नियों के साथ हमारी प्रार्थनाओं को सुनिए व प्रार्थनाओं की महिमा बढ़ाइए. जो अग्नि स्वरूप हैं, जो मनुष्यों में हैं उन सब से हमारा अनुरोध है. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! Listen to our prayers with all the agnis and increase the glory of the prayers. We request all those who are in the form of agni, those who are in human beings. (1)
देवो वो द्रविणोदाः पूर्णां विवष्ट्वासिचम् । उद्वा सिञ्चध्वमुप वा पृणध्वमादिद्वो देव ओहते ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! धनदाता अग्नि को घी और सोमरस से सींचिए. उन्हें पूरी हवि दीजिए. वे आप का पालनपोषण करने वाले हैं. (१)

O hosts! Irrigate the money-giver agni with ghee and somerus. Give them full respect. They are going to nurture you. (1)
अवा नो अग्न ऊतिभिर्गायत्रस्य प्रभर्मणि । विश्वासु धीषु वन्द्य ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! आप की सभी यज्ञो में बुद्धिपूर्वक वंदना की जाती है. आप गायत्री छंद में स्तुति गाने पर प्रसन्न होते हैं. आप अपने रक्षा साधनों से हमारी रक्षा करने की कृपा कीजिए. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! You are worshiped wisely in all the yagyas. You are happy to sing praise in Gayatri verses. Please protect us with your means of defence. (1)
आ हरयः ससृज्रिरेऽरुषीरधि बर्हिषि । यत्राभि संनवामहे ॥ (२)

इंद्र के घोड़े उन को घास के उन आसनों पर प्रतिष्ठापित करें, जिन पर हम यज्ञ में उन्हें स्थापित कर के उन की उपासना करते हैं. (२)

May Indra's horses install him on the grass asanas on which we install him in the yajna and worship him. (2)
प्र स विश्वेभिरग्निभिरग्निः स यस्य वाजिनः । तनये तोके अस्मदा सम्यङ्वाजैः परीवृतः ॥ (२)

यज्ञ की अग्नि शक्तिशाली है. उस में सभी हवि भेंट करते हैं. वे अग्नि अन्य सभी अग्नियों सहित शक्ति से घिर कर हमारे कल्याण हेतु पधारने व हमारे सज्जनों (पुत्रों) का भी कल्याण करने की कृपा करें. (२)
EN English Translation
The agni of yajna is powerful. In that all the havis offer. May those agnis surrounded by power along with all other agnis come for our welfare and also to do the welfare of our gentlemen (sons). (2)
तँ होतारमध्वरस्य प्रचेतसं वह्निं देवा अकृण्वत । दधाति रत्नं विधते सुवीर्यमग्निर्जनाय दाशुषे ॥ (२)

देवताओं ने श्रेष्ठ बुद्धिमान अग्नि को अपना होता बनाया है. वे हवि से हवन करते हैं, यजमान के लिए रत्न धारते हैं, अच्छी संतान देते हैं, दानदाता यजमान को शक्ति प्रदान करते हैं. (२)
EN English Translation
The gods have made the best intelligent agni their own. They perform havan with havi, hold gems for the host, give good children, give strength to the donor host. (2)
आ नो अग्ने रयिं भर सत्रासाहं वरेण्यम् । विश्वासु पृत्सु दुष्टरम् ॥ (२)

हे अग्नि! आप भरपूर धन दीजिए. आप शत्रुनाशक श्रेष्ठ सामर्थ्य दीजिए. आप सभी दुष्टों को दूर कीजिए. आप सभी वैभव हमें प्रदान कीजिए. (२)

O agni! You give a lot of money. You give the best power to the enemy. You remove all the wicked. Give us all your glory. (2)
इन्द्राय गाव आशिरं दुदुह्रे वज्रिणे मधु । यत्सीमुपह्वरे विदत् ॥ (३)

पास ही यज्ञ में जब इंद्र मधुर सोमरस का पान करते हैं, उस समय वज्रपाणि इंद्र के लिए गाएं मीठा दूध देती हैं. (३)
EN English Translation
In the nearby yagna, when Indra drinks the sweet Someras, at that time Vajrapani gives sweet milk to Indra. (3)
त्वं नो अग्ने अग्निभिर्ब्रह्म यज्ञं च वर्धय । त्वं नो देवतातये रायो दानाय चोदय ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप अन्य देवताओं को हमें धनदान करने के लिए प्रेरित करने की कृपा कीजिए. आप अन्य अग्नियों सहित हमारे आत्म ज्ञान व यज्ञ की भी बढ़ोतरी करने की कृपा कीजिए. (३)
EN English Translation
O agni! Please encourage other gods to donate money to us. Please increase our self-knowledge and sacrifice along with other agnis. (3)
अदर्शि गातुवित्तमो यस्मिन्व्रतान्यादधुः । उपोषु जातमार्यस्य वर्धनमग्निं नक्षन्तु नो गिरः ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
अग्नि में यजमान व्रत धारण करते हैं. अग्ने श्रेष्ठ पथप्रदर्शक हैं. वे श्रेष्ठ पथ दिखाते हैं. अग्नि आयों की बढ़ोतरी चाहते हैं. अग्नि को हमारी वाणी प्राप्त हो. (३)
EN English Translation
In the agni, the hosts observe fast. You are the best guide. They show the best path. Want to increase agni incomes. May agni receive our voice. (3)
आ नो अग्ने सुचेतुना रयिं विश्वायुपोषसम् । मार्डीकं धेहि जीवसे ॥ (३)

हे अग्नि! आप सुचेतना संपन्न, संपूर्ण पोषण (आयु पर्यंत) दाता व सुखदाता हैं. आप हमें पूरे जीवन के लिए धन दीजिए. (३)

O agni! You are a well-informed, complete nourishment (till age) giver and comforter. You give us money for the whole life. (3)
आ नो विश्वासु हव्यमिन्द्रँ समत्सु भूषत । उप ब्रह्माणि सवनानि वृत्रहन्परमज्या ऋचीषम ॥ (४)

हे इंद्र! हमारे यज्ञ आप की शोभा बढ़ाते हैं. आप के लिए गाई गई हमारी प्रार्थनाएं आप की शोभा बढ़ाती हैं. हम युद्धों में अपनी सहायता के लिए आप को याद करते हैं. आप वृत्रनाशक हैं. आप हमें मनपसंद धन प्रदान करने की कृपा कीजिए. (४)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Our yajna graces you. Our prayers sung for you grace you. We miss you for your assistance in wars. You are a chronicle. Please give us the money we want. (4)
त्वे सोम प्रथमा वृक्तबर्हिषो महे वाजाय श्रवसे धियन् दधुः । स त्वं नो वीर वीर्याय चोदय ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! प्रमुख यजमान अन्न बल के बारे में आप के लिए श्रेष्ठ बुद्धि धारण करते हैं. आप हम वीरों को (और अधिक) वीरता के लिए प्रोत्साहित करने की कृपा कीजिए. (४)
EN English Translation
O Mon! The main hosts possess the best intelligence for you about the food force. Please encourage us heroes to (more) heroes. (4)
यस्माद्रेजन्त कृष्टयश्चर्कृत्यानि कृण्वतः । सहस्रसां मेधसाताविव त्मनाग्निं धीभिर्नमस्यत ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! आप बुद्धिपूर्वक अग्नि को नमन कीजिए. आप हजारों बुद्धिपूर्वक कार्यो से उन की उपासना कीजिए, जिस से अग्नि कर्तव्यपरायण यजमानों के लिए शत्रुपक्ष को बहुत पीड़ित कर सकें. (४)
EN English Translation
O hosts! You bow down to agni wisely. Worship them with thousands of wise deeds, so that the agni can cause a lot of suffering to the enemy for the dutiful hosts. (4)
अग्निँ हिन्वन्तु नो धियः सप्तिमाशुमिवाजिषु । तेन जेष्म धनन्धनम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! हमारी बुद्धियां आप को प्रेरित करें. युद्ध में घोड़े को प्रेरित करने की भांति हम आप को प्रेरित करते हैं, जिस से हम जीवन संग्राम में सारे वैभव जीत सकें. (४)
EN English Translation
O agni! May our intellects inspire you. Like inspiring the horse in the war, we inspire you, so that we can win all the glory in the battle of life. (4)
त्वं दाता प्रथमो राधसामस्यसि सत्य ईशानकृत् । तुविद्युम्नस्य युज्या वृणीमहे पुत्रस्य शवसो महः ॥ (५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप पहले दाता हैं. आप धनदाता और सत्य के स्वामी हैं. हम आप की प्रकाशशीलता से जुड़ने एवं आप से बलवान और उत्तम संतान की कामना करते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are the first donor. You are the giver of wealth and the master of truth. We connect with your light and wish you a strong and good child. (5)
अभ्यभि हि श्रवसा ततर्दिथोत्सं न कं चिज्जनपानमक्षितम् । शर्याभिर्न भरमाणो गभस्त्योः ॥ (५)

हे सोम! आप का रस छनछन कर छलनी से टपकता हुआ द्रोणकलश को उसी तरह लबालब भर देता है, पीने वाले जल को चुल्लू से डालडाल कर जैसे पानी के हौज को पूरा भर देते हैं. (५)
EN English Translation
O Mon! Your juice filters and fills the dronalash dripping from the sieve in the same way, by pouring the drinking water with a chullu, filling the water tank completely. (5)
प्र दैवोदासो अग्निर्देव इन्द्रो न मज्मना । अनु मातरं पृथिवीं वि वावृते तस्थौ नाकस्य शर्मणि ॥ (५)

अग्नि उत्कृष्ट स्वर्गलोक में निवास करते हैं. वे इंद्र जैसी सामर्थ्य वाले हैं. वे पृथ्वी माता पर श्रेष्ठ यज्ञ कार्य पूर्ण कराते हैं. वे स्वर्गिक सुख प्रदान करते हैं. (५)

Agni resides in the excellent paradise. He is as powerful as Indra. They complete the best yajna work on Mother Earth. They provide heavenly happiness. (5)
यया गा आकरामहै सेनयाग्ने तवोत्या । तां नो हिन्व मघत्तये ॥ (५)

हे अग्नि! संरक्षण शक्ति से हमें रक्षित कीजिए. दिव्य ज्ञान हेतु हम आप को आमंत्रित करते हैं. आप हमें उत्तम कोटि का धन प्रदान कीजिए. (५)

O agni! Protect us with conservation power. We invite you for divine knowledge. You give us the best amount of money. (5)
प्रत्नं पीयूषं पूर्व्यं यदुक्थ्यं महो गाहद्दिव आ निरधुक्षत । इन्द्रमभि जायमानँ समस्वरन् ॥ (६)

अमृत तुल्य सोमरस अपूर्व और सर्वश्रेष्ठ है. यह स्वर्गलोक से प्रकट हुआ. इंद्र के सामने यजमान मंत्र गागा कर सोम की स्तुति करते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
Amrit-like Someras is unique and the best. It appeared from heaven. In front of Indra, the host praises Som by singing the mantra. (6)
अजीजनो अमृत मर्त्याय अमृतस्य धर्मन्नमृतस्य चारुणः । सदासरो वाजमच्छा सनिष्यदत् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सोम! आप अमृतमय हैं. आप मनुष्यों के लिए सत्य और मंगलकारी तत्त्व धारण करते हैं. आप ने सूर्य को प्रकट किया, देवगण की सेवा की और सदैव यजमानों को अन्न, धन देने हेतु लालायित रहते हैं. (६)
EN English Translation
O Mon! You are nectar. You possess true and auspicious elements for human beings. You have revealed the sun, served the gods and are always eager to give food and money to the hosts. (6)
अग्न आयूँषि पवसे आसुवोर्जमिषं च नः । आरे बाधस्व दुच्छुनाम् ॥ (६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! आप हमें दीर्घायु बनाइए. आप हमें श्रेष्ठ अन्न, बल दीजिए. आप दुष्टों को बाधित कीजिए. (६)

O agni! You make us longevity. You give us the best food, the strength. You obstruct the wicked. (6)
आग्ने स्थूरँ रयिं भर पृथुं गोमन्तमश्विनम् । अङ्धि खं वर्त्तया पविम् ॥ (६)

हे अग्नि! आप हमें गोवान व अश्ववान बनाइए. आप हमें प्रचुर धन दीजिए. आकाश आप के तेज से पवित्र हैं. आप दुर्गुणों को दूर भगाइए. (६)

O agni! You make us Goans and Horses. You give us a lot of money. The sky is holy by the glory of you. You remove the vices. (6)
आदीं के चित्पश्यमानास आप्यं वसुरुचो दिव्या अभ्यनूषत । दिवो न वारँ सविता व्यूर्णुते ॥ (७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
तत्पश्चात वसुरुच देवगण सोम का दर्शन करते हैं. अंधेरे को दूर करने वाले सूर्य के उगने से पहले पूजनीय सोम की स्तुति की जाती है. यह स्तुति ऐसे की जाती है, जैसे आदरणीय भाई की की जाती है. (७)
EN English Translation
After that, Vasuruch Devgan sees Soma. The revered Soma is praised before the sun that removes darkness rises. This praise is done as if the respected brother is done. (7)
एन्दुमिन्द्राय सिञ्चत पिबाति सोम्यं मधु । प्र राधाँसि चोदयते महित्वना ॥ (७)

हे यजमानो! आप इंद्र को सोमरस से सींचिए. वे मधुर सोम रस को पीते हैं. वे अपने महत्त्व से धनों को आप लोगों (के पास आने) के लिए प्रेरित करते हैं. (७)

O hosts! You water Indra with someras. They drink sweet som rasa. They inspire the money to come to you people by their importance. (7)
अग्निरृषिः पवमानः पाञ्चजन्यः पुरोहितः । तमीमहे महागयम् ॥ (७)

अग्नि ऋषि हैं. वे पवित्र, पुरोहित, पंच व सर्वद्रष्टा हैं. हम उन के गुण गाते हैं. (७)

Agni is a sage. He is holy, priest, panch and all-perishta. We sing the virtues of them. (7)
अग्ने नक्षत्रमजरमा सूर्यँ रोहयो दिवि । दधज्ज्योतिर्जनेभ्यः ॥ (७)

हे अग्नि! आप लोगों के लिए ज्योति धारण कीजिए. आप स्वर्गलोक में सूर्य को स्थापित कीजिए. जर्जर न होने वाले सूर्य सर्वत्र प्रकाशदाता हैं. (७)

O agni! Don't light up for you guys. You install the sun in heaven. The sun, which is not dilapidated, is the giver of light everywhere. (7)
अध यदिमे पवमान रोदसी इमा च विश्वा भुवनाभि मज्मना । यूथे न निष्ठा वृषभो वि राजसि ॥ (८)

हे सोम! आप परिष्कृत व पवित्र हैं. गायों के झुंड में बैल के समान आप स्वर्गलोक और पृथ्वीलोक के बीच सुशोभित होते हैं. (८)

O Mon! You are sophisticated and holy. Like a bull in a herd of cows, you are adorned between heaven and earth. (8)
उपो हरीणां पतिँ राधः पृञ्चन्तमब्रवम् । नूनँ श्रुधि स्तुवतो अश्व्यस्य ॥ (८)

हे इंद्र! आप अश्वपति व धनपति हैं. हम आप के लिए प्रार्थनाएं बोलते हैं. आप स्तुति करते हुए अश्व्य ऋषि की स्तुति अवश्य ही सुनने की कृपा कीजिए. (८)

O Indra! You are ashwapati and dhanpati. We speak prayers for you. Please listen to the praise of the inaudible sage while praising you. (8)
