तद्वो गाय सुते सचा पुरुहूताय सत्वने । शं यद्गवे न शाकिने ॥ (१)

हे स्तुति करने वालो! सोम तैयार करने के बाद बहुत से यजमान जिन की स्तुति करते हैं जो धन दाता हैं, तुम उन इंद्र के लिए प्रार्थना करो. वे प्रार्थनाएं उन्हें उसी प्रकार सुख देती हैं, जिस प्रकार गायों को घास. (१)
EN English Translation
O praisers! After preparing Soma, pray for Indra, whom many hosts praise who are the givers of wealth. Those prayers give them happiness in the same way as grass to cows. (1)
उद्धेदभि श्रुतामघं वृषभं नर्यापसम् । अस्तारमेषि सूर्य ॥ (१)

उदीयमान इंद्र (सूर्य रूप में) श्रेष्ठ वीर, धन देने वाले व मनुष्यों के हितकारी हैं. वे उदार स्वभाव के हैं और (शत्रुओं पर) शस्त्र प्रहार करने वाले हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The rising Indra (in the form of sun) is the best hero, the giver of wealth and the benefactor of human beings. They are generous in nature and are going to attack (enemies). (1)
इहेव शृण्व एषां कशा हस्तेषु यद्वदान् । नि यामं चित्रमृञ्जते ॥ (१)

मरुद्गणों के हाथों में चाबुक है. उन चाबुकों से जो आवाज होती है, वह हमें सुनाई देती है. ये आवाजें (ध्वनियां) युद्ध में अनेक प्रकार की वीरता प्रदर्शित करती हैं. (१)

The deserters have a whip in their hands. We hear the sound from those whips. These voices (sounds) display many types of bravery in war. (1)
अपादु शिप्रयन्धसः सुदक्षस्य प्रहोषिणः । इन्द्रोरिन्द्रो यवाशिरः ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! आप सुंदर ठोड़ी वाले और सुंदर मुकुट धारण करने वाले हैं. यजमान हवि देने में विशेष कुशल हैं. आप ने दूध और जौ से बनाए हुए सोमरस को ग्रहण किया. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are going to have a beautiful chin and a beautiful crown. The hosts are particularly skilled in giving havi. You took somers made from milk and barley. (1)
पान्तमा वो अन्धस इन्द्रमभि प्र गायत । विश्वासाहँ शतक्रतुं मँहिष्ठं चर्षणीनाम् ॥ (१)

हे याजको (यज्ञ करने वालो)! आप इंद्र की विशेष स्तुति करें. वे शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले हैं. सैकड़ों कर्म करने वाले हैं. वे धन दाता हैं. वे सोमरस का पान करने वाले हैं. (१)

O yajko (those who perform yajna)! You should specially praise Indra. They are the destroyers of enemies. There are hundreds of karma karmics. They are money givers. They are going to drink someras. (1)
इदँ ह्यन्वोजसा सुतँ राधानां पते । पिबा त्वा३स्य गिर्वणः ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! आप धन के स्वामी हैं. आप प्रार्थना करने योग्य हैं. हम ने बहुत मेहनत से आप के लिए सोमरस निचोड़ा है. आप रुचिपूर्वक इसे ग्रहण कीजिए. (१)

O Indra! You are the master of wealth. You deserve to pray. We have squeezed somers for you very hard. You accept it with interest. (1)
ईङ्खयन्तीरपस्युव इन्द्रं जातमुपासते । वन्वानासः सुवीर्यम् ॥ (१)

इंद्र की माता उत्तम बल चाहने वाली हैं. वे श्रेष्ठ कार्य करने की इच्छुक हैं. वे इंद्र से वीरतापूर्ण धन चाहती हैं. वे प्रकट हुए इंद्र की सेवा करती हैं. (१)

Indra's mother is a great force seeker. They are willing to do the best. They want heroic wealth from Indra. She serves the appeared Indra. (1)
यँ रक्षन्ति प्रचेतसो वरुणो मित्रो अर्यमा । न किः स दभ्यते जनः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
जिस यजमान की रक्षा श्रेष्ठ ज्ञान वाले वरुण, मित्र तथा अर्यमा देवता करते हैं, उस यजमान का कोई बाल भी बांका नहीं कर सकता. (१)

No one can dandy the host who is protected by Varuna, Mitra and Aryama Devta with superior knowledge. (1)
उत्त्वा मन्दन्तु सोमाः कृणुष्व राधो अद्रिवः । अव ब्रह्मद्विषो जहि ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! सोमरस आप को आनंद दे. हे वज्रधारी इंद्र! आप हम पर धन बरसाइए. आप ब्राह्मणों के द्वेषियों का नाश कीजिए. (१)

O Indra! May Somers give you pleasure. O Vajradhari Indra! You shower money on us. You destroy the hatreds of Brahmins. (1)
तरणिं वो जनानां त्रदं वाजस्य गोमतः । समानमु प्र शँसिषम् ॥ (१)

हे यजमानो! इंद्र हमारा बेड़ा पार लगाने वाले हैं. वे हमारे शत्रुओं को भय दिखाने वाले हैं. वे पशु धन देने वाले हैं. वे अन्नधन देने वाले हैं. मैं उन की सदा स्तुति करता हूं. (१)

O hosts! Indra is going to cross our fleet. They are going to show fear to our enemies. They are the givers of cattle wealth. They are the givers of food. I always praise them. (1)
आ व इन्द्र कृविं यथा वाजयन्तः शतक्रतुम् । मँहिष्ठँ सिञ्च इन्दुभिः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे यजमानो! जैसे अन्न चाहने वाले खेत को जल से सींचते हैं, वैसे ही बल (पराक्रम) चाहने वाले हम पूजनीय इंद्र को सोमरस से सींचते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O hosts! Just as those who want food irrigate the field with water, similarly those who want force (might) water the revered Indra with someras. (1)
अतीहि मन्युषाविणँ सुषुवाँसमुपेरय । अस्य रातौ सुतं पिब ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! जो यजमान क्रोधित हो कर सोमरस निचोड़े, आप उसे स्वीकार मत कीजिए. जो अच्छे विधिविधान से सोमरस निचोड़े, आप उसी के यज्ञ में सोमरस ग्रहण कीजिए. (१)
EN English Translation
O Indra! Do not accept the host who gets angry and squeezes somerus. Those who squeeze someras with good law, you should take someras in his yajna. (1)
यस्ते नूनँ शतक्रतविन्द्र द्युम्नितमो मदः । तेन नूनं मदे मदेः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप सैकड़ों कर्म करने वाले हैं अथवा आप सैकड़ों प्रकार का ज्ञान रखने वाले हैं. वह सोमरस हम ने आप ही के लिए निकाला था. आप उस रस को पी कर आनंदित होइए और हमें भी आनंद प्रदान कीजिए. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are going to do hundreds of deeds or you are going to have hundreds of types of knowledge. That somers we took out for you. You enjoy drinking that juice and give us pleasure too. (2)
यदद्य कच्च वृत्रहन्नुदगा अभि सूर्य । सर्वं तदिन्द्र ते वशे ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप जल रोकने वाले मेघ को नष्ट करते हैं. अभी उदित हुए आप से सब कुछ प्रकाशित हो रहा है. सब कुछ आप के अधीन है. (२)

O Indra! You destroy the water-stopping cloud. Everything is being published from you just arising. Everything is under you. (2)
इम उ त्वा वि चक्षते सखाय इन्द्र सोमिनः । पुष्टावन्तो यथा पशुम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! यजमान हाथों में सोमरस ले कर आप की ओर उसी तरह एकाग्रचित्त हो कर देख रहे हैं, जैसे पशु पालक घास हाथ में ले कर प्रेम भाव से पशु की ओर देखता है. (२)

O Indra! The host is looking at you with somersas in his hands, just as the cattle keeper looks at the animal with love with grass in his hand. (2)
इमा उ त्वा पुरुवसोऽभि प्र नोनवुर्गिरः । गावो वत्सं न धेनवः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप अनेक प्रकार के वैभव वाले हैं. हमारी स्तुतियां बारबार आप के पास उसी तरह आना चाहती हैं, जैसे दूध वाली गाएं बारबार बछड़ों की ओर आती हैं. (२)

O Indra! You are of many kinds of splendour. Our praises want to come to you again and again, just as milk cows come to calves again and again. (2)
प्र व इन्द्राय मादनँ हर्यश्वाय गायत । सखायः सोमपाव्ने ॥ (२)

हे साधको! इंद्र हरि नामक घोड़े वाले हैं. वे सोमरस पीने वाले हैं. आप इन इंद्र को प्रसन्न करने वाली प्रार्थनाएं गाइए. (२)

O seekers! There is a horse named Indra Hari. They are somers drinkers. You sing these prayers that please Indra. (2)
महाँ इन्द्रः पुरश्च नो महित्वमस्तु वज्रिणे । द्यौर्न प्रथिना शवः ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप महान हैं. आप के गुण श्रेष्ठ हैं. आप वज्रधारी हैं. आप की कीर्ति स्वर्गलोक की तरह फैले. आप के बल की चारों ओर प्रशंसा हो. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are great. Your qualities are superior. You are a thunderbolt. Your fame spread like heaven. Be admired around the force of you. (2)
न कि देवा इनीमसि न क्या योपयामसि । मन्त्रश्रुत्यं चरामसि ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! हम वेद मंत्रों के अनुसार आचरण करते हैं. हम किसी को नुकसान नहीं पहुंचाते हैं. हम धर्म (नियम) के विरुद्ध कोई काम नहीं करते हैं. (२)

O Indra! We behave according to Veda mantras. We don't harm anyone. We don't do anything against dharma (rules). (2)

हे इंद्र! आप हमेशा की तरह गौओं का समूह, घोड़ों का समूह और यशदायी धन वैभव देने के लिए पधारिए. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! As always, come to give a group of cows, a group of horses and a fruitful wealth. (2)
गिर्वणः पाहि नः सुतं मधोर्धाराभिरज्यसे । इन्द्र त्वादातमिद्यशः ॥ (२)

हे इंद्र! आप स्तुति करने योग्य हैं. आप हमारे छाने हुए इस सोमरस को पीजिए. आप को सोम की धारा से सींचा जाता है. हमें आप की कृपा से शुद्ध किया हुआ अन्न (धन) प्राप्त होता है. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are praiseworthy. You drink this somersa of our shade. You are watered by the stream of Som. We get purified food (wealth) by your grace. (2)
असृग्रमिन्द्र ते गिरः प्रति त्वामुदहासत । सजोषा वृषभं पतिम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप के लिए हम ने स्तुतियां रची हैं. आप बलशाली हैं. सब का पालनपोषण करने वाले हैं. वे स्तुतियां आप तक पहुंचीं. सोम पीने वाले इंद्र ने उन का भी सेवन किया. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! We have created praises for you. You are strong. Everyone is going to be nurtured. Those eulogies reached you. Indra, who drank Som, also consumed them. (2)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप सैकड़ों प्रकार के बल से पूर्ण हो कर हमारे यज्ञ में पधारिए. आप हजारों प्रकार के अन्न से युक्त हो कर हमारे यज्ञ में पधारिए. आप अनेक रस ले कर हमारे यज्ञ में पधारिए. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You come to our yagna full of hundreds of types of force. You should come to our yagna with thousands of types of food. You come to our yagna with many juices. (2)
कदु प्रचेतसे महे वचो देवाय शस्यते । तदिध्यस्य वर्धनम् ॥ (२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! आप महान हैं. आप की कृपा से हमारी मामूली प्रार्थना भी प्रशंसा पाती है. हमारी ये प्रार्थनाएं भी आप का गुणगान करती हैं. अतः यजमान पर आप की कृपा होती है. (२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are great. By your grace, even our modest prayers get praise. These prayers of ours also praise you. Therefore, you are pleased with the host. (2)
गाव उप वदावटे महि यज्ञस्य रप्सुदा । उभा कर्णा हिरण्यया ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे गौओ! आप यज्ञ स्थान की ओर जाइए. आप धार्मिक यज्ञ विधाओं के लिए दूध आदि प्रदान कीजिए. आप के दोनों कान स्वर्ण से सुशोभित हैं. (३)

O goo! You go towards the yajna place. You should provide milk etc. for religious yajna disciplines. Both your ears are adorned with gold. (3)
य आनयत्परावतः सुनीती तुर्वशं यदुम् । इन्द्रः स नो युवा सखा ॥ (३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुर्वश और यदु को शत्रुओं ने दूर फेंक दिया था, आप अपनी श्रेष्ठ नीति से उन्हें फिर पास लौटा लाए. आप युवा हैं. आप हमारे मित्र हो जाइए. (३)

O Indra! Turvash and Yadu were thrown away by the enemies, you brought them back to you with your best policy. You are young. You become our friend. (3)
समस्य मन्यवे विशो विश्वा नमन्त कृष्टयः । समुद्रायेव सिन्धवः ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! सारी प्रजा (जनता) नम्रतापूर्वक वैसे ही आकर्षित हो रही है, जैसे समुद्र की ओर जाने वाली नदियां. (३)

O Indra! All the people are humbly attracted just as the rivers leading to the sea. (3)
अत्राह गोरमन्वत नाम त्वष्टुरपीच्यम् । इत्था चन्द्रमसो गृहे ॥ (३)

गतिमान चंद्र मंडल में सूर्य का दिव्य तेज है, ऐसा विद्वान् मानते हैं अर्थात् सूर्य के छिप जाने पर उन्हीं के प्रकाश से चंद्रमा प्रकाशित होता है. (३)

Scholars believe that there is a divine radiance of the sun in the moving lunar system, that is, when the sun is hidden, the moon is illuminated by their light. (3)
वयमु त्वा तदिदर्था इन्द्र त्वायन्तः सखायः । कण्वा उक्थेभिर्जरन्ते ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! हम आप को अपना मित्र बनाना चाहते हैं. हम आप के मित्र होना चाहते हैं. हम कण्ववंशी हैं. हम आप की स्तुति करना अपना कर्तव्य मानते हैं. हम आप की स्तुति कर रहे हैं. (३)

O Indra! We want to make you our friend. We want to be friends of you. We are Kanvavanshis. We consider it our duty to praise you. We are praising you. (3)
आ तू न इन्द्र क्षुमन्तं चित्रं ग्राभँ सं गृभाय । महाहस्ती दक्षिणेन ॥ (३)

हे इंद्र! आप बड़ेबड़े हाथों वाले हैं. आप हमारे लिए यशदायी धन दाएं हाथ में लीजिए. वह धन बहुत प्रशंसनीय हो. कई लोगों द्वारा लेने योग्य हो. (३)

O Indra! You are big-handed. You take the money that is worthwhile for us in your right hand. That money is very praiseworthy. be taken by many people. (3)
