समि॑द्धो अ॒द्य मनु॑षो दुरो॒णे दे॒वो दे॒वान्य॑जसि जातवेदः । आ च॒ वह॑ मित्रमहश्चिकि॒त्वान्त्वं दू॒तः क॒विर॑सि॒ प्रचे॑ताः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे जातवेद अग्नि! तुम आज मानवों के घर में प्रज्वलित होकर इंद्रादि देवों की पूजा करते हो. स्तोता मित्रों की पूजा करने वाले अग्नि! तुम स्तोताओं द्वारा की हुई स्तुतियां जानते हुए देवों को बुलाओ. तुम बुद्धिमान् एवं कार्यकुशल हो. (१)
EN English Translation
O Jativeda Agni! Today you are ignited in the house of human beings and worship the Indradi devas. Fire to worship the stota friends! You call the gods knowing the praises made by the Psalms. You are intelligent and efficient. (1)
प्र ह्यच्छा॑ मनी॒षा स्पा॒र्हा यन्ति॑ नि॒युतः॑ । प्र द॒स्रा नि॒युद्र॑थः पू॒षा अ॑विष्टु॒ माहि॑नः ॥ (१)

हमारे अभिलाषा योग्य एवं नियमित स्तुतिवचन पूषादेव को प्राप्त करने के लिए भली प्रकार जाते हैं. दर्शनीय, जाने के लिए सदा रथ जोड़ने वाले एवं महान् पूषादेव आकर हमारी रक्षा करें. (१)
EN English Translation
Our desire-worthy and regular hymns go well to receive The Lord. Let the great God, who always connects the chariots to go, and the great God, come and protect us. (1)
अग्ने॒ अच्छा॑ वदे॒ह नः॑ प्र॒त्यङ्नः॑ सु॒मना॑ भव । प्र नो॑ यच्छ विशस्पते धन॒दा अ॑सि न॒स्त्वम् ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! हमारे सामने आकर उत्तम बातें कहो एवं हमारे प्रति प्रसन्न बनो. हे प्रजाओं के स्वामी अग्नि! तुम धन देने वाले हो, इसलिए हमें धन दो. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! Come in front of us and say good things and be happy with us. O agni, lord of the people! You are the giver of money, so give us money. (1)
बृह॑स्पते प्रथ॒मं वा॒चो अग्रं॒ यत्प्रैर॑त नाम॒धेयं॒ दधा॑नाः । यदे॑षां॒ श्रेष्ठं॒ यद॑रि॒प्रमासी॑त्प्रे॒णा तदे॑षां॒ निहि॑तं॒ गुहा॒विः ॥ (१)

हे बृहस्पति! बच्चे सबसे पहले पदार्थो का नाम मात्र जानते हैं. यह उनकी भाषा की पहली सीढ़ी है. बालकों का जो पापरहित वेदार्थ ज्ञान है, वह गुहा में छिपा हुआ रहता है. वह ज्ञान सरस्वती की कृपा से प्रकट होता है. (१)
EN English Translation
O Jupiter! Children first know the name of the substance. This is the first ladder of their language. The divine Vedic knowledge of children remains hidden in the them. That knowledge is manifested by the grace of Saraswati. (1)
अ॒हं दां॑ गृण॒ते पूर्व्यं॒ वस्व॒हं ब्रह्म॑ कृणवं॒ मह्यं॒ वर्ध॑नम् । अ॒हं भु॑वं॒ यज॑मानस्य चोदि॒ताय॑ज्वनः साक्षि॒ विश्व॑स्मि॒न्भरे॑ ॥ (१)

मैंने अपने स्तोता को अधिक धन दिया. मैंने अपनी वृद्धि करने वाले यज्ञों का अनुष्ठान किया. मैं अपने यजमान को धन देता हूं तथा यज्ञ न करने वाले सभी को युद्ध में पराजित करता हूं. (१)
EN English Translation
I gave more money to my stota. I performed the rituals of my growing yagnas. I give money to my host and defeat all those who do not perform yajna in battle. (1)
सं जा॑गृ॒वद्भि॒र्जर॑माण इध्यते॒ दमे॒ दमू॑ना इ॒षय॑न्नि॒ळस्प॒दे । विश्व॑स्य॒ होता॑ ह॒विषो॒ वरे॑ण्यो वि॒भुर्वि॒भावा॑ सु॒षखा॑ सखीय॒ते ॥ (१)

हे जागरणशील स्तोताओं द्वारा प्रशंसित अग्नि! तुम प्रज्वलित होते हो. दानशील अग्नि उत्तर वेदी पर स्थित होकर अन्न की अभिलाषा से समस्त हवि के होता बनते हैं. वरण करने योग्य, व्यापक, दीप्तिशाली एवं शोभन अग्नि मित्र के समान व्यवहार करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni admired by awakening hymns! You ignite. The demonic agni is located on the north altar and is made of all the havi from the desire for food. Selectable, broad, radiant and behave like a friend of shobhan agni. (1)
अ॒यम॑ग्ने जरि॒ता त्वे अ॑भू॒दपि॒ सह॑सः सूनो न॒ह्य१॒॑न्यदस्त्याप्य॑म् । भ॒द्रं हि शर्म॑ त्रि॒वरू॑थ॒मस्ति॑ त आ॒रे हिंसा॑ना॒मप॑ दि॒द्युमा कृ॑धि ॥ (१)

हे अग्नि! यह ऋषि तुम्हारा स्तोता हुआ. हे बलपुत्र अग्नि! तुम्हारे समान मेरा दूसरा आत्मीय नहीं है. तुम्हारा तीन कोठों वाला निवास सुंदर है. हम तुम्हारे समीप आकर तुम्हारी ज्वाला से दुःखी हैं, इसलिए इसे दूर करो. (१)
EN English Translation
O agni! This sage is your hymn. O son of strength, agni! My second is not intimate like you. Your three-cornered abode is beautiful. We are sad to come near you and be saddened by your flame, so remove it. (1)
अस॒त्सु मे॑ जरितः॒ साभि॑वे॒गो यत्सु॑न्व॒ते यज॑मानाय॒ शिक्ष॑म् । अना॑शीर्दाम॒हम॑स्मि प्रह॒न्ता स॑त्य॒ध्वृतं॑ वृजिना॒यन्त॑मा॒भुम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र ने कहा-“हे स्तोता! मेरी ऐसी शोभन मनोवृत्ति है कि मैं सोमरस निचोड़ने वाले यजमान को मनचाहा फल देता हूं. जो मुझे हव्य नहीं देता, असत्य भाषण करता है एवं पापकर्म करना चाहता है, उसे मैं पूरी तरह नष्ट कर देता हूं.” (१)
EN English Translation
Indra said, "This is the hymn! I have such a soothing attitude that I give the desired fruit to the host who squeezes the Somras. I completely destroy the one who does not give me a word, makes untrue speeches and wants to commit sin." (1)
मनी॑षिणः॒ प्र भ॑रध्वं मनी॒षां यथा॑यथा म॒तयः॒ सन्ति॑ नृ॒णाम् । इन्द्रं॑ स॒त्यैरेर॑यामा कृ॒तेभिः॒ स हि वी॒रो गि॑र्वण॒स्युर्विदा॑नः ॥ (१)

हे स्तोताओ! ज्यों-ज्यों तुम्हारी बुद्धि का उदय हो, वैसे-वैसे ही तुम स्तुतियां पढ़ो. सत्यकर्मो के अनुष्ठान द्वारा हम इंद्र को बुलाते हैं. वीर इंद्र स्तुतियों को जानकर स्तोताओं को प्यार करते हैं. (१)

This stotao! As your wisdom rises, so do you read the praises. By the ritual of Satyakarmo we call upon Indra. Veer Indra loves the hymns by knowing the praises. (1)
दे॒वानां॒ नु व॒यं जाना॒ प्र वो॑चाम विप॒न्यया॑ । उ॒क्थेषु॑ श॒स्यमा॑नेषु॒ यः पश्या॒दुत्त॑रे यु॒गे ॥ (१)

हम स्पष्ट शब्दों में देवों की उत्पत्ति का वर्णन करते हैं. ये देव भविष्य में स्तोत्रों के उच्चारण के समय स्तोता को देखेंगे. (१)

We describe the origin of the gods in clear terms. These gods will see the stotha at the time of the pronunciation of the hymns in the future. (1)
अग्रे॑ बृ॒हन्नु॒षसा॑मू॒र्ध्वो अ॑स्थान्निर्जग॒न्वान्तम॑सो॒ ज्योति॒षागा॑त् । अ॒ग्निर्भा॒नुना॒ रुश॑ता॒ स्वङ्ग॒ आ जा॒तो विश्वा॒ सद्मा॑न्यप्राः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
महान् अग्नि प्रातःकाल में प्रज्वलित होकर ज्वाला के रूप में रहते हैं एवं अंधकार से निकलकर अपने तेज के द्वारा यज्ञस्थल में जाते हैं. शोभन ज्वालाओं वाले एवं यज्ञ के लिए उत्पन्न अग्नि अपने अंधकारनाशक तेज के द्वारा सभी यज्ञगृहों को पूर्ण करते हैं. (१)
EN English Translation
The great agni ignites in the morning and lives as a flame and comes out of the darkness and goes to the yagnasthala through its brightness. The agnis that have adorned the flames and the agni generated for the yajna complete all the yagnagrahas by its darkening radiant brightness. (1)
त्यं चि॒दत्रि॑मृत॒जुर॒मर्थ॒मश्वं॒ न यात॑वे । क॒क्षीव॑न्तं॒ यदी॒ पुना॒ रथं॒ न कृ॑णु॒थो नव॑म् ॥ (१)

हे अश्चिनीकुमारो! तुमने यज्ञ करके वृद्ध बने अत्रि ऋषि को इतना शक्तिशाली बना दिया था कि वे घोड़े के समान चल सकें. तुमने कक्षीवान् ऋषि को उसी प्रकार युवा बना दिया था, जिस प्रकार बढ़ई पुराने रथ को नया कर देता है. (१)
EN English Translation
O aschinikumaro! You made the old sage so powerful that he could walk like a horse by performing yajna. You made the sage Kambivana young in the same way that the carpenter renews the old chariot. (1)
प्र वो॑ म॒हे मन्द॑माना॒यान्ध॒सोऽर्चा॑ वि॒श्वान॑राय विश्वा॒भुवे॑ । इन्द्र॑स्य॒ यस्य॒ सुम॑खं॒ सहो॒ महि॒ श्रवो॑ नृ॒म्णं च॒ रोद॑सी सप॒र्यतः॑ ॥ (१)

हे स्तोता! सबके नेता, सबको बनाने वाले, महान् एवं सोम से प्रसन्न होने वाले इंद्र की अर्चना करो. इंद्र के प्रशंसनीय बल, महान् अन्न और सुख की पूजा द्यावा-पृथिवी करते हैं. (१)

This is the hymn! Worship Indra, the leader of all, the creator of all, the great and the one who is pleased with Som. Indra's admirable forces worship the great food and happiness. (1)
इन्द्र॒ पिब॑ प्रतिका॒मं सु॒तस्य॑ प्रातःसा॒वस्तव॒ हि पू॒र्वपी॑तिः । हर्ष॑स्व॒ हन्त॑वे शूर॒ शत्रू॑नु॒क्थेभि॑ष्टे वी॒र्या॒३॒॑ प्र ब्र॑वाम ॥ (१)

हे इंद्र! निचोड़े हुए सोम को इच्छानुसार पिओ. प्रातःकाल निचोड़ा हुआ सोम सबसे पहले तुम्हें पीना चाहिए. हे वीर! शत्रुवध के लिए उत्साहित बनो. हम मंत्रों द्वारा तुम्हारी वीरता का बखान करते हैं. (१)

O Indra! Drink the squeezed mon as desired. In the morning squeezed mon you should drink first. Oh, hero! Be excited for the host. We describe your bravery through mantras. (1)
अ॒यं हि ते॒ अम॑र्त्य॒ इन्दु॒रत्यो॒ न पत्य॑ते । दक्षो॑ वि॒श्वायु॑र्वे॒धसे॑ ॥ (१)

हे सृष्टिकर्ता इंद्र! यह अमृत तुल्य सोमरस तुम्हें घोड़े के समान दीड़ाता है. यह बल का आधार एवं सबका जीवन है. (१)

O Creator Indra! This nectar-like somras makes you look like a horse. It is the basis of force and the life of all. (1)
पि॒प्री॒हि दे॒वाँ उ॑श॒तो य॑विष्ठ वि॒द्वाँ ऋ॒तूँरृ॑तुपते यजे॒ह । ये दैव्या॑ ऋ॒त्विज॒स्तेभि॑रग्ने॒ त्वं होतॄ॑णाम॒स्याय॑जिष्ठः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अतिशय युवा अग्नि! तुम स्तुतियां सुनने के अभिलाषी देवों को प्रसन्न करो. हे देवयज्ञों के समय के स्वामी अग्नि! इस यज्ञ में तुम यज्ञ के समयों को जानकर देवों की पूजा करो. हे होताओं में श्रेष्ठ अग्नि! तुम देवों के पुरोहितों के साथ देवों की पूजा करो. (१)

O very young agni! Please the gods who wish to hear the praises. O agni, lord of the time of the gods! In this yajna, you know the times of the yajna and worship the gods. O the best agni! You worship the gods with the priests of the gods. (1)
य॒ज्ञस्य॑ वो र॒थ्यं॑ वि॒श्पतिं॑ वि॒शां होता॑रम॒क्तोरति॑थिं वि॒भाव॑सुम् । शोच॒ञ्छुष्का॑सु॒ हरि॑णीषु॒ जर्भु॑र॒द्वृषा॑ के॒तुर्य॑ज॒तो द्याम॑शायत ॥ (१)

हे देवो! तुम यज्ञ के नेता, मानव प्रजाओं के पालक, देवों का आह्वान करने वाले, रात के अतिथि एवं विविध दीप्ति वाले अग्नि की सेवा करो. सूखी लकड़ियों को जलाने एवं हरी लकड़ियों का भक्षण करने वाले अभिलाषापूरक यज्ञ के ज्ञापक एवं यजनीय अन्ने स्वर्ग में सोते हैं. (१)

Oh, God! You serve the leader of the yagna, the guardian of the human subjects, the one who invokes the gods, the guests of the night and the agni of various radiants. The knowers and yajanyas of the abhilashapurak yajna, who burn dry wood and eat green wood, sleep in heaven. (1)
म॒हत्तदुल्बं॒ स्थवि॑रं॒ तदा॑सी॒द्येनावि॑ष्टितः प्रवि॒वेशि॑था॒पः । विश्वा॑ अपश्यद्बहु॒धा ते॑ अग्ने॒ जात॑वेदस्त॒न्वो॑ दे॒व एकः॑ ॥ (१)

देवों ने अग्नि से कहा—“हे अग्नि! वह आवरण विशाल एवं स्थूल था, जिससे लिपटे हुए तुम जलों में प्रविष्ट हुए थे. हे जातवेद अग्नि! तुम्हारे विविध प्रकार के शरीरों को एक देव ने देखा.” (१)
EN English Translation
The gods said to the agni, "O agni! The cover was huge and thick, with which you entered the waters wrapped. O Jativeda Agni! One God has seen your various kinds of bodies." (1)
जनि॑ष्ठा उ॒ग्रः सह॑से तु॒राय॑ म॒न्द्र ओजि॑ष्ठो बहु॒लाभि॑मानः । अव॑र्ध॒न्निन्द्रं॑ म॒रुत॑श्चि॒दत्र॑ मा॒ता यद्वी॒रं द॒धन॒द्धनि॑ष्ठा ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
गर्भ धारण करने वाली इंद्र की माता ने जिस इंद्र को जन्म दिया, उस समय मरुतों ने वीर इंद्र की प्रशंसा इस प्रकार की-“तुम शक्तिप्रदर्शन और शत्रुनाश के लिए उत्पन्न हुए हो. बुम प्रशंसनीय, ओजस्वी एवं अधिक अभिमानी हो.” (१)

At the time of indra, the mother of indra who conceived gave birth to, the maruts praised the heroic indra as follows: "You were born for the show of power and the destruction of enmity. "Bum be praiseworthy, energetic and more arrogant." (1)
इ॒मां ख॑ना॒म्योष॑धिं वी॒रुधं॒ बल॑वत्तमाम् । यया॑ स॒पत्नीं॒ बाध॑ते॒ यया॑ संवि॒न्दते॒ पति॑म् ॥ (१)

मैं इस परम शक्तिशाली एवं लतारूपिणी ओषधि को खोदती हूं. इसके द्वारा सौत को कष्ट पहुंचाकर पति का प्रेम पाया जाता है. (१)

I dig this extremely powerful and latarupini infusion. Through this, the love of the husband is found by causing suffering to the saut. (1)
इ॒नो रा॑जन्नर॒तिः समि॑द्धो॒ रौद्रो॒ दक्षा॑य सुषु॒माँ अ॑दर्शि । चि॒किद्वि भा॑ति भा॒सा बृ॑ह॒तासि॑क्नीमेति॒ रुश॑तीम॒पाज॑न् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे दीप्तिशाली, सबके स्वामी, देवों के पास हवि लेकर जाने वाले, प्रज्वलित, शत्रुओं के लिए भयानक एवं वनस्पतियों में स्थित अग्नि! तुम्हें लोग यजमानों की धनवृद्धि के लिए देखते हैं. सबको जानने वाले अग्नि विशेष रूप से दीप्ति धारण करते हैं तथा अपने महान् तेज के द्वारा श्वेत वर्ण की दीप्ति फैलाते हुए जाते हैं. EN English Translation
O glorious, lord of all, those who carry the havi to the gods, the ignited, the agni which is terrible for the enemies and the agni in the vegetation! People see you for the wealth of hosts. The agnis that know everyone especially carry the glow and spread the brightness of the white color through their great brightness. (1)
तम॑स्य॒ द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी सचे॑तसा॒ विश्वे॑भिर्दे॒वैरनु॒ शुष्म॑मावताम् । यदैत्कृ॑ण्वा॒नो म॑हि॒मान॑मिन्द्रि॒यं पी॒त्वी सोम॑स्य॒ क्रतु॑माँ अवर्धत ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
द्यावा-पृथिवी सब देशों के साथ मिलकर एकचित्त से इंद्र की शक्ति की रक्षा करें. जब वीरता के कार्य करतेकरते इंद्र ने अपना महत्त्व प्राप्त किया, तब सोमरस पीने वाले एवं कर्मकर्ता इंद्र बढ़े. (१)
EN English Translation
The dyava-prithvis should work together with all the countries to protect the power of Indra from the unison. When Indra gained his importance while doing acts of bravery, indra, the somras drinker and the karmakarma, grew up. (1)
विश्वे॑ देवाः शा॒स्तन॑ मा॒ यथे॒ह होता॑ वृ॒तो म॒नवै॒ यन्नि॒षद्य॑ । प्र मे॑ ब्रूत भाग॒धेयं॒ यथा॑ वो॒ येन॑ प॒था ह॒व्यमा वो॒ वहा॑नि ॥ (१)

अग्नि ने मन ही मन कहा-“हे विश्वेदेवो। तुमने मुझे होता के रूप में वरण किया है. मुझे यहां बैठकर जो मंत्र पढ़ना है, वह मुझे बताओ. मेरा और तुम्हारा भाग कौन सा है, यह मुझे बताओ. मुझे वह मार्ग भी बताओ, जिससे मैं हव्य तुम्हारे पास ले जाउं. (१)
EN English Translation
The agni said to himself, "O Visves. You have chosen me as would have. Tell me the mantras I have to sit here and read. Tell me which part of me and yours is. Tell me the way in which I may take you. (1)
विश्वो॒ ह्य१॒॑न्यो अ॒रिरा॑ज॒गाम॒ ममेदह॒ श्वशु॑रो॒ ना ज॑गाम । ज॒क्षी॒याद्धा॒ना उ॒त सोमं॑ पपीया॒त्स्वा॑शितः॒ पुन॒रस्तं॑ जगायात् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
इंद्र के पुत्र वसुक की स्त्री कहती है-“इंद्र के अतिरिक्त सभी देव हमारे यज्ञ में आए हैं. मेरे ससुर इंद्र नहीं आए, यह आश्चर्य है. वे आते तो भुना हुआ जौ का सत्तू खाते और सोमरस पीते. वे शोभन आदर करके फिर अपने घर चले जाते.” (१)

The woman of Indra's son Vasuk says, "All the gods except Indra have come to our yagna. My father-in-law Indra did not come, it's surprising. When they come, they eat roasted barley sattu and drink somras. They would go home again with respect." (1)
अर॑ण्या॒न्यर॑ण्यान्य॒सौ या प्रेव॒ नश्य॑सि । क॒था ग्रामं॒ न पृ॑च्छसि॒ न त्वा॒ भीरि॑व विन्दती३ँ ॥ (१)

हे विशाल वन! तुम देखते-देखते ही नष्ट हो जाते हो. तुम गांव में जाने का मार्ग क्यों नहीं पूछते? अकेले यहां तुम्हें डर नहीं लगता? (१)

O huge forest! You are destroyed when you see it. Why don't you ask for a way to the village? Aren't you afraid here alone? (1)
वसू॑नां वा चर्कृष॒ इय॑क्षन्धि॒या वा॑ य॒ज्ञैर्वा॒ रोद॑स्योः । अर्व॑न्तो वा॒ ये र॑यि॒मन्तः॑ सा॒तौ व॒नुं वा॒ ये सु॒श्रुणं॑ सु॒श्रुतो॒ धुः ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
देवों व मानवों द्वारा धनदान के इच्छुक इंद्र को धनदान के लिए स्तुतियों या यज्ञ द्वारा आकर्षित किया जाता है. संग्राम में धन कमाने के साधन घोड़े इंद्र को आकर्षित करते हैं. यज्ञ का आश्रय लेने वाले अथवा शत्रु का संहार करने वाले लोग इंद्र को आकर्षित करते हैं. (१)

Indra, who is desirous of giving wealth by gods and human beings, is attracted by praises or yagnas for dhandaan. The means of earning money in sangram attract horses Indra. Those who take shelter in yajna or kill the enemy attract Indra. (1)
प्र ते॑ यक्षि॒ प्र त॑ इयर्मि॒ मन्म॒ भुवो॒ यथा॒ वन्द्यो॑ नो॒ हवे॑षु । धन्व॑न्निव प्र॒पा अ॑सि॒ त्वम॑ग्न इय॒क्षवे॑ पू॒रवे॑ प्रत्न राजन् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे अग्नि! मैं तुम्हारे लिए हवि देता हूं एवं सुंदर स्तुतियां बोलता हूं. हे सबके वंदनीय अग्नि! तुम हमारे आह्वानों में आते हो. हे प्राचीन एवं सबके स्वामी अग्नि! जिस प्रकार मरुस्थल में छोटा जलाशय भी सुखद होता है, उसी प्रकार तुम यज्ञकर्ता मनुष्य को धन देकर सुखदाता बनते हो. (१)

O agni! I give you a greeting and speak beautiful praises. O agni for all! You come to our calls. O ancient and lord of all, agni! Just as a small reservoir in the desert is also pleasant, so you become a giver of happiness by giving money to the sacrificial man. (1)

हे द्यावा-पृथिवी! तुम महान् बनो. तुम विस्तीर्ण बनो और नारी के समान हमारे घर में स्थित होओ. तुम अपने रक्षासाधनों से हमें शत्रुओं से बचाओ. तुम अपने इन कार्यों से हमें शत्रुओं से बचाओ. (१)

This is the earth! You be great. Be you wide and be located in our house like a woman. You save us from enemies by your defense tools. You save us from your enemies by these actions. (1)

हम मन से जिन अग्नि की कामना करते थे, वे आ गए हैं. अग्नि यज्ञ को जानते हैं और अपने शरीर को पूर्ण करते हैं. यज्ञकर््ताओं में श्रेष्ठ अग्नि हमारे यज्ञ में होम करते हैं. हम देवों से पूर्व में, वर्तमान अग्ने देवों के मध्य बैठे हैं. (१)

The agnis we used to desire from the heart have come. Know the agni yajna and complete your body. The best agni in the yagnakartas is the home in our yajna. We are sitting in the east of the gods, among the present Agne Devas. (1)

हे इंद्र! तुम्हारे क्रोध पर मैं सर्वाधिक श्रद्धा करता हूं. तुमने वृत्र का वध किया एवं लोक हितकारी जल का निर्माण किया. हे वज्रधारी इंद्र! द्यावा-पृथिवी तुम्हारे अधीन हैं एवं अंतरिक्ष तुम्हारे भय से कांपता है. (१)

O Indra! I have the greatest respect for your anger. You killed Vrithra and created publicly beneficial water. O thunderbolt Indra! The earth is under your control and space trembles with your fear. (1)
