वि॑षास॒हिंसह॑मानं सासहा॒नं सही॑यांसम् । सह॑मानं सहो॒जितं॑ स्व॒र्जितं॑ गो॒जितं॑संधना॒जित॑म् । ईड्यं॒ नाम॑ ह्व॒ इन्द्र॒मायु॑ष्मान्भूयासम् ॥ (१)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
सहमान अर्थात् दूसरों को दबाने वाले तेज से युक्त, शत्रुओं के उस तेज को जीतने वाले, स्वर्ग के विजेता, शत्रुओं के गाय आदि पशुओं को जीतने वाले तथा जलों पर विजय प्राप्त करने वाले इंद्र रूप सूर्य को मैं प्रातः, मध्याह्न तक संध्या के कमो के द्वारा बुलाता हूं. उन इंद्र रूप सूर्य की कृपा से मैं अधिक आयु वाला बनूं. (१)
EN English Translation
I call the Sun, the form of Indra, who has the glory of suppressing others, the conqueror of heaven, the conqueror of the enemies, the cow of the enemies, and the conqueror of the waters, through the morning, midday, evening. By the grace of those Indra form Sun, I should become older. (1)

सहमान अर्थात् दूसरों को दबाने वाले तेज से युक्त, शत्रुओं के उस तेज को जीतने वाले, स्वर्ग के विजेता, शत्रुओं के गाय आदि पशुओं को जीतने वाले तथा जलों पर विजय प्राप्त करने वाले इंद्र रूप सूर्य को बुलाता हूं. उन इंद्र की कृपा से मैं संतान आदि का प्रिय बनूं. (२)
EN English Translation
I call indra form surya, who has the radiance that suppresses others, the conqueror of the enemies, the conqueror of heaven, the conqueror of the animals of the enemies, the cow etc. and the conqueror of the waters. By the grace of that Indra, I should become the beloved of children etc. (2)

मैं सहमान अर्थात् दूसरों को दबाने वाले तेज से युक्त, शत्रुओं के उस तेज को जीतने वाले, स्वर्ग के विजेता, शत्रुओं के गाय आदि पशुओं को जीतने वाले तथा जलों पर विजय प्राप्त करने वाले इंद्र रूप सूर्य को मैं बुलाता हूं. उन इंद्र रूप सूर्य की कृपा से मैं प्रजाओं का प्रिय बनूं. (३)
EN English Translation
I call the Sun in the form of Indra, who is the one who suppresses others, who conquers that glory of enemies, conquers heaven, conquers enemies' cows, etc. and conquers water. By the grace of those Indra-formed suns, I should become the beloved of the people. (3)

सहमान अर्थात् दूसरों को दबाने वाले तेज से युक्त, शत्रुओं के उस तेज को जीतने वाले, स्वर्ग के विजेता, शत्रुओं के गाय आदि पशुओं को जीतने वाले तथा जलों पर विजय प्राप्त करने वाले इंद्र रूप सूर्य का मैं प्रातः, सायं तथा मध्याह्न के कर्मों के द्वारा आह्वान करता हूं. उन की कृपा से मैं गाय, भैंस आदि पशुओं का प्रिय बनूं, (४)

I invoke the Sun in the form of Indra, who is the one who suppresses others, conquers that glory of enemies, conquers the conqueror of heaven, conquers enemies' cows, etc. and conquers waters through morning, evening and midday deeds. By their grace, I shall be beloved of animals like cows, buffaloes, etc., (4)

सहमान अर्थात् दूसरों को दबाने वाले तेज से युक्त, शत्रुओं के उस तेज को जीतने वाले, स्वर्ग के विजेता, शत्रुओं के गाय आदि पशुओं को जीतने वाले तथा जलों पर विजय प्राप्त करने वाले सूर्य को मैं प्रातः, मध्याह्न और संध्या के कर्मो के द्वारा बुलाता हूं. उन इंद्र रूप सूर्य की कृपा से मैं अपने समान लोगों का प्रिय बनूं. EN English Translation
I call the sun, which has the glory of suppressing others, the conqueror of the enemies, the conqueror of heaven, the conqueror of the enemies' cows, etc. and the conqueror of the waters, through the deeds of morning, midday and evening. By the grace of those Indra form Sun, I should be dear to people like me. (5)
उदि॒ह्युदि॑हिसूर्य॒ वर्च॑सा मा॒भ्युदि॑हि । द्वि॒षंश्च॒ मह्यं॒ रध्य॑तु॒ मा चा॒हं द्वि॑ष॒तेर॑धं॒ तवेद्वि॑ष्णो बहु॒धा वी॒र्याणि । त्वं नः॑ पृणीहि प॒शुभि॑र्वि॒श्वरू॑पैःसु॒धायां॑ मा धेहि पर॒मे व्योमन् ॥ (६)

हे सूर्य देव! आप उदित हैं और उदित हो कर अपने तेज से मुझे प्रकाशित करें. जो लोग मुझ से द्वेष करते हैं. वे मेरे वश में हो जाएं. मैं किसी भी प्रकार उन के वशीभूत न बनू, हे व्यापनशील सूर्य देव! आप का पराक्रम सीमारहित है आप मुझे अमुक रूपों वाले अर्थात् गाय, घोड़ा, भेस आदि पशुओं से पूर्ण करं तथा परमव्योम में जो अमृत है, उस में मुझे स्थापित करें. (६)
EN English Translation
O Sun God! You are up and rise and publish to me with your speed. People who hate me. Let them be in my control. I will not be subjugated to them in any way, O Swami of the inhabited Sun! Your might is limitless, you complete me with animals like cow, horse, disguise etc. in such forms and establish me in the nectar that is in the supreme soul. (6)
उदि॒ह्युदि॑हिसूर्य॒ वर्च॑सा मा॒भ्युदि॑हि । यांश्च॒ पश्या॑मि॒ यांश्च॒ न तेषु॑ मा सुम॒तिंकृ॑धि॒ तवेद्वि॑ष्णो बहु॒धा वी॒र्याणि । त्वं नः॑ पृणीहि प॒शुभि॑र्वि॒श्वरू॑पैःसु॒धायां॑ मा धेहि पर॒मे व्योमन् ॥ (७)

हे सूर्य देव! तुम उदय होओ. हे अपने तेज से दूसरों को दबाने वाले सूर्य देव! तुम उदय होओ. मैं जिन को देख रहा हूं और जिन्हें नहीं देख रहा हूं, उन के विषय में मुझे शोभन बुद्धि वाला बनाओ. हे व्यापनशील सूर्य! तुम्हारे वीर्य अर्थात् शक्तियां अंतहीन हैं. तुम मुझे अनेक रूपों वाले अर्थात् गाय, अश्व, भैस आदि पशुओं से पूर्ण करो तथा परम व्योम में जो अमृत है उस में मुझे स्थापित करो. (७)
EN English Translation
O Sun God! You rise. O Sun God who suppresses others with his radiance! You rise. Make me with graceful intelligence about what I see and those I don't see. O rainy sun! Your semen i.e. powers are endless. You complete me with animals of many forms, that is, cows, horses, buffaloes, etc. and establish me in the nectar that is in the supreme vyom. (7)
मा त्वा॑दभन्त्सलि॒ले अ॒प्स्वन्तर्ये पा॒शिन॑ उप॒तिष्ठ॒न्त्यत्र॑ । हि॒त्वाश॑स्तिं॒दिव॒मारु॑क्ष ए॒तां स नो॑ मृड सुम॒तौ ते॑ स्याम॒ तवेद्वि॑ष्णो बहु॒धा वी॒र्याणि । त्वं नः॑ पृणीहि प॒शुभि॑र्वि॒श्वरू॑पैः सु॒धायां॑ मा धेहि पर॒मे व्योमन् ॥ (८)

हे पाशों को धारण करने वाले सूर्य! राक्षस तुम्हें जलों में प्रवेश करने से न रोकें. तुम उस निंदा को त्याग कर आकाश में आरोहण करो. तुम मुझ पर कृपा करो. हम तुम्हारी शोभन बुद्धि में रहें. हे व्याप्त होने वाले सूर्य! यहां तुम्हारे वीर्य अर्थात् शक्तियां अनेक हैं. तुम गाय, अश्व आदि अनेक रूपों वाले पशुओं से हमें पूर्ण करो तथा परम व्योम में जो सुधा है, उस में हमें स्थापित करो. (८)
EN English Translation
O sun holding loops! Demons should not stop you from entering the waters. You abandon that condemnation and ascend into the sky. You have mercy on me. May we live in your beautiful intellect. O sun that is shining! Here your semen means many powers. You complete us with animals of many forms like cows, horses, etc. and establish us in the goodness that is in the Supreme Vyom. (8)
त्वं न॑ इन्द्रमह॒ते सौभ॑गा॒याद॑ब्धेभिः॒ परि॑ पाह्य॒क्तुभि॒स्तवेद्वि॑ष्णो बहु॒धा वी॒र्याणि । त्वं नः॑ पृणीहि प॒शुभि॑र्विश्वरूपैः सु॒धायां॑ मा धेहि पर॒मे व्योमन् ॥ (९)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे परम ऐश्वर्य संपन्न सूर्य! ऐश्वर्य को प्राप्त करने के हेतु तुम बहुत से पराक्रम करते हो. बुम व्याधि, चोर, भूत, राक्षस, अग्निदाह आदि की हिंसा से रहित दिवसों के द्वारा हमारी रक्षा करो. हे व्यापक सूर्य! तुम्हारे वीर्य अर्थात् शक्तियां अनेक प्रकार की हैं. तुम गाय, अश्व आदि अनेक रूपों वाले पशुओं से मुझे पूर्ण करो तथा परम व्योम में जो सुधा है, उस में मुझे स्थापित करो. (९)
EN English Translation
O Sun with supreme opulence! You do many might to achieve opulence. Protect us through days devoid of violence of bum disease, thief, ghost, demon, agni, etc. O broad sun! Your semen i.e. powers are of many types. You complete me with animals of many forms like cows, horses, etc. and establish me in the sudha that is in the supreme vyom. (9)
त्वं न॑इन्द्रो॒तिभिः॑ शि॒वाभिः॒ शन्त॑मो भव । आ॒रोहं॑स्त्रिदि॒वं दि॒वो गृ॑णा॒नःसोम॑पीतये प्रि॒यधा॑मा स्व॒स्तये॒ तवेद्वि॑ष्णो बहु॒धा वी॒र्याणि । त्वं नः॑पृणीहि प॒शुभि॑र्वि॒श्वरू॑पैः सु॒धायां॑ मा धेहि पर॒मे व्योमन् ॥ (१०)

हे इंद्र! तुम अपनी मंगलमयी रक्षाओं के द्वारा हमारे लिए अधिक सुखकारी बनो. तुम अंतरिक्ष संबंधी स्वर्ग पर चढ़ते हुए सोम याग में सोमरस पीने के लिए आओ. हे प्रिय निवास स्थानों वाले इंद्र! तुम हमारे कल्याण के निमित्त पधारो. हे व्यापक इंद्र! तुम्हारे वीर्य अर्थात् शक्तियां अनंत हैं. तुम हमें गाय, अश्व आदि अनेक रूपों वाले पशुओं से पूर्ण करो और परम व्योम में जो सुधा है. उस में हमें स्थापित करो. (१०)
EN English Translation
O Indra! May you be more pleasing to us through your auspicious defenses. You come to drink Somers in Mon Yag while climbing to space-related paradise. O swami Indra! Come for our welfare. O broad Indra! Your semen i.e. powers are infinite. May you complete us with animals of many forms like cows, horses, etc. and the supreme vyom is the improvement. Install us in that. (10)
त्वमि॑न्द्रासिविश्व॒जित्स॑र्व॒वित्पु॑रुहू॒तस्त्वमि॑न्द्र । त्वमि॑न्द्रे॒मं सु॒हवं॒स्तोम॒मेर॑यस्व॒ स नो॑ मृड सुम॒तौ ते॑ स्याम॒ तवेद्वि॑ष्णो बहु॒धावी॒र्याणि । त्वं नः॑ पृणीहि प॒शुभि॑र्वि॒श्वरू॑पैः सु॒धायां॑ मा धेहि पर॒मे व्योमन् ॥ (११)

हे इंद्र! तुम विश्वविजयी एवं सभी को जीतने वाले हो. हे इंद्र! तुम बहुतों के द्वारा यज्ञो में बुलाए जाने वाले हो. हे इंद्र! तुम इस समय की जाती हुई शोभन ज्ञान की साधन स्तुतियों के लिए हमें प्रेरित करो. तुम हमारी रक्षा करो. हम तुम्हारी उत्तम बुद्ध में रहें अर्थात् हमारे प्रति तुम्हारी श्रेष्ठ भावना हो. हे व्यापक इंद्र! तुम्हारे वीर्य अर्थात् शक्तियां अनेक प्रकार की हैं. तुम हमें गाय, अश्व आदि अनेक रूपों वाले पशुओं से पूर्ण करो तथा हमें परम व्योम में स्थित सुधा में स्थापित करो. (११)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are a world champion and a conqueror of all. O Indra! You are going to be called to the yagyas by many. O Indra! Inspire us to praise the means of knowledge that you do at this time. You protect us. May we be in your best Buddha, that is, your superior feeling towards us. O broad Indra! Your semen i.e. powers are of many types. May you complete us with animals of many forms like cows, horses, etc. and establish us in sudha located in the supreme vyom. (11)
अद॑ब्धो दि॒विपृ॑थि॒व्यामु॒तासि॒ न त॑ आपुर्महि॒मान॑म॒न्तरि॑क्षे । अ॑दब्धेन॒ ब्रह्म॑णावावृधा॒नः स त्वं न॑ इन्द्र दि॒वि षञ्च्छर्म॑ यच्छ॒ तवेद्वि॑ष्णो बहु॒धावी॒र्याणि । त्वं नः॑ पृणीहि प॒शुभि॑र्वि॒श्वरू॑पैः सु॒धायां॑ मा धेहि पर॒मे व्योमन् ॥ (१२)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम ह्युलोक अर्थात् स्वर्ग में तथा पृथ्वी पर किसी के द्वारा हिंसित नहीं हो. तात्पर्य यह है कि इन दोनों स्थानों पर कोई भी तुम्हारा विरोध करने का साहस नहीं करता है. आकाश में तुम्हारी महिमा को सहन करने में कोई समर्थ नहीं है. जिस की सामर्थ्य कुंठित नहीं होती है, ऐसे मंत्रों के द्वारा वृद्धि प्राप्त करते हुए तुम हमारी रक्षा करो. हे व्यापक इंद्र! तुम्हारे वीर्य अर्थात् शक्तियां अनंत हैं. तुम हमें गाय, घोड़ा आदि अनेक रूपों वाले पशुओं से पूर्ण करो तथा परम व्योम में जो सुधा है, उस में हमें स्थापित करो. (१२)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You are not condemned by anyone in hell and on earth. The implication is that no one dares to oppose you in these two places. No one is able to bear your glory in the sky. Protect us by attaining growth through such mantras whose power is not frustrated. O broad Indra! Your semen i.e. powers are infinite. May you complete us with animals of many forms like cows, horses, etc. and establish us in the good that is in the Supreme Vyom. (12)
या त॑ इन्द्रत॒नूर॒प्सु या पृ॑थि॒व्यां यान्तर॒ग्नौ या त॑ इन्द्र॒ पव॑माने स्व॒र्विदि॑ । यये॑न्द्र त॒न्वा॒न्तरि॑क्षं व्यापि॒थ तया॑ न इन्द्र त॒न्वा॒ शर्म॒ यच्छ॒तवेद्वि॑ष्णो बहु॒धावी॒र्याणि । त्वं नः॑ पृणीहि प॒शुभि॑र्वि॒श्वरू॑पैःसु॒धायां॑ मा धेहि पर॒मे व्योमन् ॥ (१३)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे परम ऐश्वर्य वाले सूर्य! तुम्हारी जो विभूतियां जलों में, पृथ्वी पर, आकाश में हैं तथा तुम्हारी जो विभूति अंतरिक्ष में गतिशील वायु में है, हे इंद्र उन विभूतियों अथवा मूर्तियों के द्वारा हमें सुख प्रदान करो. हे व्यापक सूर्य! तुम्हारी शक्तियां अनंत हैं. तुम हमें गाय, भैंस आदि अनेक रूपों वाले पशुओं से पूर्ण करो तथा परम व्योम में स्थित जो सुधा है, उस में हमें स्थापित करो. (१३)
EN English Translation
O sun of supreme opulence! May your personalities, which are in the waters, on earth, in the sky and yours in the moving air in space, O Indra, give us happiness through those personalities or idols. O broad sun! Your powers are infinite. You complete us with animals of many forms like cows, buffaloes, etc. and establish us in the sudha that is located in the supreme vyom. (13)
त्वामि॑न्द्र॒ब्रह्म॑णा व॒र्धय॑न्तः स॒त्त्रं नि षे॑दु॒रृष॑यो॒ नाध॑माना॒स्तवेद्वि॑ष्णोबहु॒धावी॒र्याणि । त्वं नः॑ पृणीहि प॒शुभि॑र्वि॒श्वरू॑पैः सु॒धायां॑ मा धेहिपर॒मे व्योमन् ॥ (१४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे ऐश्वर्य वाले सूर्य! अंगिरा आदि प्राचीन ऋषि अपने मंत्रों के स्तोत्र आदि के द्वारा अपने सोमरस आदि के रूप वाले हवि से तुम्हारी वृद्धि करते हुए नियम से निवास करते रहें. हे व्यापक सूर्य! तुम्हारी ये शक्तियां अनेक प्रकार की हैं. तुम हमें गाय, अश्व आदि अनेक रूपों वाले पशुओं से पूर्ण करो एवं परमव्योम में व्याप्त जो सुधा है, उस में हमें स्थापित करो. (१४)
EN English Translation
O o o sun of opulence! Angira etc. Ancient sages, through the hymns of their mantras, etc., continue to live by the rule, increasing you from the havi in the form of their someras etc. O broad sun! These powers of yours are of many types. May you complete us with animals of many forms like cows, horses, etc. and establish us in the good that prevails in the Supreme Personality of Godhead. (14)
त्वं तृ॒तं त्वंपर्ये॒ष्युत्सं॑ स॒हस्र॑धारं वि॒दथं॑ स्व॒र्विदं॒ तवेद्वि॑ष्णो बहु॒धावी॒र्याणि । त्वं नः॑ पृणीहि प॒शुभि॑र्वि॒श्वरू॑पैः सु॒धायां॑ मा धेहि पर॒मेव्योमन् ॥ (१५)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे इंद्र! तुम विस्तृत अंतरिक्ष को व्याप्त करते हो. तुम अनेक धाराओं वाले जल को व्याप्त करते हो. तुम ज्ञान के साधन यज्ञ पर अधिकार करते हो. हे व्यापक इंद्र! तुम्हारे वीर्य अर्थात् शक्तियां अनेक प्रकार की हैं. तुम हमें गौ, अश्व आदि अनेक रूपों वाले पशुओं से पूर्ण करो तथा हमें परम व्योम में स्थित सुधा में स्थापित करो. (१५)
EN English Translation
O Indra! You cover a wide space. You pervade water with many streams. You possess yajna, the means of knowledge. O Great Indra! Your semen means there are many types of powers. You fill us with animals of many forms like cow, horse, etc. and establish us in Sudha located in Param Vyom. (15)
त्वं र॑क्षसेप्र॒दिश॒श्चत॑स्र॒स्त्वं शो॒चिषा॒ नभ॑सी॒ वि भा॑सि । त्वमि॒मा विश्वा॒ भुव॒नानु॑तिष्ठस ऋ॒तस्य॒ पन्था॒मन्वे॑षि वि॒द्वांस्तवेद्वि॑ष्णो बहु॒धावी॒र्याणि । त्वंनः॑ पृणीहि प॒शुभि॑र्वि॒श्वरू॑पैः सु॒धायां॑ मा धेहि पर॒मे व्योमन् ॥ (१६)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सूर्य! तुम चारों दिशाओं की रक्षा करते हो और अपनी किरणों से आकाश को प्रकाशित करते हो. तुम इन सभी भुवनों को प्रकाशित करते हो. तुम सत्य अथवा यज्ञ की स्थिति जानते हुए उन के मार्गो को क्रम से व्याप्त करते हो. हे व्यापक सूर्य! तुम्हारी शक्तियां अनंत हैं. तुम हमें धेनु, अश्व॒ आदि अनेक रूपों वाले पशुओं से पूर्ण करो एवं परम व्योम में जो सुधा है, उस में हमें स्थापित करो. (१६)
EN English Translation
O sun! You protect the four directions and illuminate the sky with your rays. You illuminate all these bhuvanas. Knowing the status of truth or sacrifice, you spread their paths in order. O broad sun! Your powers are infinite. May you complete us with animals of many forms such as dhenu, horse, etc. and establish us in the sudha that is in the supreme vyom. (16)
प॒ञ्चभिः॒परा॑ङ् तप॒स्येक॑या॒र्वाङश॑स्तिमेषि सु॒दिने॒ बाध॑मान॒स्तवेद्वि॑ष्णो बहु॒धावी॒र्याणि । त्वं नः॑ पृणीहि प॒शुभि॑र्वि॒श्वरू॑पैः सु॒धायां॑ मा धेहि पर॒मेव्योमन् ॥ (१७)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
हे सूर्य! तुम अपनी पांच किरणों से ऊपर की ओर मुख करके तपते हो तथा अपनी एक किरण से नीचे की ओर मुख करके पृथ्वी पर तपते हो. पाला, बादल आदि से रहित दिन की याचना करने पर तुम अपनी किरण से पृथ्वी पर तपते हो. हे व्यापक सूर्य! तुम्हारी ही शक्तियां अनंत हैं. तुम गौ, अश्व आदि अनेक रूपों वाले पशुओं से हमें पूर्ण करो तथा परम व्योम में जो सुधा है, उस में हमें स्थापित करो. (१७)
EN English Translation
O sun! You meditate with your five rays facing upwards and with one of your rays facing downwards, you meditate on the earth. When you plead for a day devoid of frost, clouds, etc., you heat the earth with your rays. O broad sun! Your own powers are infinite. May you complete us with animals of many forms like cow, horse etc. and establish us in the sudha that is in the supreme vyom. (17)

हे ऐश्वर्य शाली सूर्य! तुम स्वर्ग के स्वामी एवं महत्त्वपूर्ण गुण से युक्त हो. स्वर्ग आदि लोक तुम ही हो तथा तुम ही प्रजाओं के स्वामी हो. तुम्हारे लिए यज्ञ विस्तृत किए गए. (१८)

O glorious sun! You are the swami of heaven and possess important qualities. You are the people of heaven and you are the master of the people. Sacrifices were extended for you. (18)

यह दृश्यमान जगत् निराकार ब्रह्म में प्रतिष्ठित है. इस दृश्यमान जगत् में पृथ्वी आदि पांच तत्त्व प्रतिष्ठित हैं. हे व्यापक सूर्य! तुम्हारी ही शक्तियां अनेक प्रकार की हैं. तुम हमें गौ, अश्च आदि सभी रूप के पशुओं से पूर्ण करो तथा परम व्योम में जो सुधा स्थित है, उस में हमें स्थापित करो. (१९)
EN English Translation
This visible world is distinguished in the formless Brahman. In this visible world, five elements like earth etc. are distinguished. O broad sun! Your own powers are of many kinds. May you complete us with animals of all forms of cow, ashcha etc. and establish us in the sudha that is located in the supreme vyom. (19)
शु॒क्रोऽसि॑भ्रा॒जोऽसि॑ । स यथा॒ त्वं भ्राज॑ता भ्रा॒जोऽस्ये॒वाहं भ्राज॑ता भ्राज्यासम् ॥ (२०)

हे सूर्य! तुम शुक्ल अर्थात् अत्यधिक उज्ज्वल हो तथा तुम दीप्तिशाली हो. तुम जिस प्रकार की ज्योति से पूर्ण रहते हो, मैं तुम्हारे उसी ज्योति पूर्ण भाव की उपासना करता हूं. (२०)

O sun! You are shukla i.e. very bright and you are bright. The kind of light you are full of, I worship your same light full sense. (20)
रुचि॑रसि रो॒चोऽसि॑ । स यथा॒ त्वं रुच्या॑ रो॒चोऽस्ये॒वाहं प॒शुभि॑श्च ब्राह्मणवर्च॒सेन॑ चरुचिषीय ॥ (२१)

हे सूर्य! तुम दीप्ति रूप हो तथा दूसरों को दीप्ति वाला बनाते हो. तुम जिस प्रकार दीप्ति से दीप्ति मग्न हो, उसी प्रकार मैं पशुओं तथा ब्राह्मणोचित तेज से संपन्न बनूं. (२१)

O sun! You are a bright form and make others radiant. Just as you are filled with radiance, so should I be endowed with animals and Brahmanical glory. (21)

My greetings to the sun god who has set, setting and setting. Salutations to the special Tejwan, salutations to the one who is the best radiance and salutations to the best one. (23)

EN English Translation
These suns have risen with the rays that afflict the whole world. They subdue my enemies and do not subjugate me to any enemy. O broad sun! Your own powers are infinite. You complete me with all the animals like cows, buffaloes, etc. and place me in the sudha that is in the supreme vyom. (24)

हे आदित्य अर्थात् अदिति पुत्र सूर्य! तुम रथ के लक्षणों वाली नाव पर सवार हो. वह नाव सौ डांडों वाली है. उस नाव पर तुम्हारे चढ़ने का प्रयोजन सभी का कल्याण है. इस प्रकार की नाव पर आरूढ़ तुम मुझे अनेक आध्यात्मिक, अधिभौतिक तथा अधिदैविक विविध बाधाओं से पार कर के रात्रि और दिन के मध्य मार्गो के पार पहुंचाओ. EN English Translation
O Aditya means Aditi's son Surya! You are riding a boat with the characteristics of a chariot. That boat is a hundred sticks. The purpose of your climbing on that boat is the welfare of all. Ride on this kind of boat and take me through many spiritual, metaphysical and supernatural obstacles and cross the paths between night and day. (25)
सू॑र्यनावमारुक्षः श॒तारि॑त्रां स्व॒स्तये॑ । रात्रिं॒ मात्य॑पीप॒रोऽहः॑ स॒त्राति॑पारय ॥ (२६)

सूर्य देव सब के कल्याण के लिए सौ डांडों वाली नाव पर सवार होते हैं. यह नाव रथ के लक्षणों वाली है. हे सूर्य! रात्रि में मुझे कोई बाधा न पहुंचाए तथा दिन के तीनों सत्रों अर्थात् प्रातः, मध्याह्ल और संध्या से मुझे पार करो. (२६)
EN English Translation
Surya Dev rides on a boat with hundred sticks for the welfare of everyone. This boat has symptoms of a chariot. O sun! Do not obstruct me at night and cross me from all the three sessions of the day i.e. morning, midday and evening. (26)

वर्षा आदि के द्वारा प्रजाओं का पालन करने से सूर्य प्रजापति हैं. मैं प्रजापति सूर्य के कवच से तथा कश्यप ऋषि की ज्योति और तेज से घिरा हुआ हूं, सुरक्षित हूं. मैं जीर्ण अर्थात् वृद्ध हो कर भी दृढ़ अंगों वाला हूं तथा अनेक प्रकार के भोगों को भोगता हूं. मैं दीर्घ आयु प्राप्त करता हुआ तथा लौकिक और वेदों का कार्य करता हुआ सूर्य देव की कृपा का पात्र रहूं. Surya Prajapati is by following the subjects through rain etc. I am surrounded by the armor of Prajapati Sun and the light and glory of Sage Kashyapa, I am safe. I am old and have strong limbs and enjoy many types of enjoyments. May I be worthy of the grace of the Sun God while attaining a long life and doing the work of cosmic and Vedas. (27)
परि॑वृतो॒ब्रह्म॑णा॒ वर्म॑णा॒हं क॑श्यपस्य॒ ज्योति॑षा॒ वर्च॑सा च । मा मा॒प्राप॒न्निष॑वो॒ दैव्या॒ या मा मानु॑षी॒रव॑सृष्टाः व॒धाय॑ ॥ (२८)

मैं कश्यप रूपी सूर्य के मंत्र रूपी कवच से ढका हुआ हूं तथा सत्य और रक्षा करने वाली किरणों से आच्छादित हूं. इसलिए मनुष्य और देवता मेरी हिंसा करने के लिए जिन आयुधों का प्रयोग करते हैं, वे मुझे प्रभावित नहीं कर सकेंगे. (२८)

I am covered with the shield of the mantra of the Sun in the form of Kashyapa and covered with the rays of truth and protection. Therefore, the weapons used by humans and gods to do my violence will not be able to affect me. (28)

सत्य, सूर्यरूपी ब्रह्म और सभी ऋतुएं मेरी रक्षा कर रही हैं. इस कारण पाप मेरे समीप नहीं आ सकता जो नरक में निवास का कारण बनता है, मैं उसी प्रकार अदृश्य रहता हूं, जिस प्रकार अभिमंत्रित जल में छिपे प्राणी किसी को दिखाई नहीं देते. मैं पापों से सुरक्षित होने के लिए अपनेआप को अभिमंत्रित और पवित्र करता हूं. EN English Translation
Truth, sun-like Brahman and all seasons are protecting me. For this reason, sin cannot come near me which causes dwelling in hell, I remain invisible in the same way as the creatures hidden in the invited water are not visible to anyone. I invite and sanctify myself to be safe from sins. (29)
अ॒ग्निर्मा॑गो॒प्ता परि॑ पातु वि॒श्वत॑ उ॒द्यन्त्सूर्यो॑ नुदतां मृत्युपा॒शान् । व्यु॒छन्ती॑रु॒षसः॒ पर्व॑ता ध्रु॒वाः स॒हस्रं॑ प्रा॒णा मय्या य॑तन्ताम् ॥ (३०)

अपने आश्रितो के रक्षक अग्नि देव मेरी रक्षा करें. उदय होते हुए सूर्य मृत्यु के पाशों से मेरी रक्षा करें. उषा मृत्यु के पाशों को मुझ से दूर रखें. मैं आयु की कामना करता हूं. मुझ में प्राण स्थित रहें. मेरी इंद्रियां चेष्टा करती रहें. (३०)

May Agni Dev, the protector of your dependents, protect me. May the rising sun protect me from the loops of death. Usha, keep the loops of death away from me. I wish you all the best. May my soul reside in me. Keep trying my senses. (30)
