अति॑सृष्टो अ॒पांवृ॑ष॒भोऽति॑सृष्टा अ॒ग्नयो॑ दि॒व्याः ॥ (१)

जलों में जो वृषभ के समान जल है वह मुक्त हुआ है और दिव्य अग्नियां मुक्त हुई हैं. (१)

The water that is like Taurus in the waters has been liberated and the divine agnis have been liberated. (1)

मैं दूषित चर्मरोग से मुक्त रहूं. मेरी वाणी शक्तिशालिनी तथा मधुयुक्त हो. (१)

वि॒द्म ते॑स्वप्न ज॒नित्रं॒ ग्राह्याः॑ पु॒त्रोऽसि॑ य॒मस्य॒ कर॑णः ॥ (१)

हे स्वप्न! तू ग्राहय पिशाचों से उत्पन्न हुआ है तथा यम को प्राप्त करने वाला है. मैं तेरी उत्पत्ति जानता हूं. (१)

O dream! You are born of acceptable vampires and are about to receive Yama. I know your origin. (1)

तेनै॑नंविध्या॒म्यभू॑त्यैनं विध्यामि॒ निर्भू॑त्यैनं विध्यामि॒ परा॑भूत्यैनं विध्यामि॒ग्राह्यै॑नं विध्यामि॒ तम॑सैनं विध्यामि ॥ (१)

मैं इस अर्थात् बुरे स्वप्र को अभिचार कर्म अर्थात् जादूटोने से, दुर्गति से, दरिद्रता से तथा रोग से विद्ध करता हूं. (१)

I am protecting this evil self from abhichar karma i.e. witchcraft, evil, poverty and disease. (1)
जि॒तम॒स्माक॒मुद्भि॑न्नम॒स्माक॑मृ॒तम॒स्माकं॒ तेजो॒ऽस्माकं॒ ब्रह्मा॒स्माकं॒स्वर॒स्माकं॑ य॒ज्ञो॒ऽस्माकं॑ प॒शवो॒ऽस्माकं॑ प्र॒जा अ॒स्माकं॑ वी॒राअ॒स्माक॑म् ॥ (१)

हमारा उदय हो. हम सत्य को प्राप्त करें, हमारा तेज बढ़े. हमारा ज्ञान बढ़े तथा हमारे उत्तम प्रकाश में वृद्धि हो. हमारे यज्ञ सफल हों, हमारे अधिकार में पशु हों, हमारी संतान की वृद्धि हो. हमारे लोग वीर हों. (१)

May we rise. May we attain the truth, may our glory increase. May our knowledge increase and our glory spread. May our yajna be successful, may cattle be in our possession, may our progeny increase. May our people be brave. (1)
जि॒तम॒स्माक॒मुद्भि॑न्नम॒स्माक॑म॒भ्यष्ठां॒ विश्वाः॒ पृत॑ना॒ अरा॑तीः ॥ (१)

शत्रुओं को घायल कर के लाए हुए पदार्थ तथा जीते हुए पदार्थ हमारे हैं. हम शत्रुओं की सेना पर अधिकार करें. (१)

The substances brought by injuring the enemies and the living substances are ours. Let us take control of the enemy's army. (1)

भंग करने वाला, विनाशक, पलायन करने वाला, मन को दबाने वाला, दाह उत्पन्न करने वाला, खोदने से प्राप्त होने वाला और देह को दूषित करने वाला जो जल है, उस से अपने शत्रुओं को युक्त करता हुआ मैं उस का त्याग करता हूं. मैं स्वयं उस का स्पर्श नहीं करूंगा. (२)
EN English Translation
I give up the water that is disturbing, destroying, migrating, suppressing the mind, causing inflammation, getting from digging and contaminating the body, combining my enemies with it. I won't touch that myself. (2)

हे ओषधियो! तुम मधुरस से पूर्ण रहो. मेरी वाणी भी मधुररस से पूर्ण हो. (२)

O o o ladies! May you be full of sweetness. May my speech also be full of sweetness. (2)
रु॒जश्च॑ मावे॒नश्च॒ मा हा॑सिष्टां मू॒र्धा च॑ मा॒ विध॑र्मा च॒ मा हा॑सिष्टाम् ॥ (२)

रज, यज्ञ, मूर्धा अर्थात् शीश और विशेष धर्म मेरा त्याग न करें. (२)

Do not renounce Raja, Yagya, Murdha i.e. Shish and special dharmas. (2)

तस्मा॑द॒मुंनिर्भ॑जामो॒ऽमुमा॑मुष्याय॒णम॒मुष्याः॑ पु॒त्रम॒सौ यः ॥ (२)

इस अपराध के कारण हम शत्रु पर आक्रमण करते हैं. इस गोत्र वाला तथा इस का पुत्र हमारा शत्रु है. (२)

Because of this crime, we attack the enemy. This tribe and its son are our enemies. (2)
तद॒ग्निरा॑ह॒तदु॒ सोम॑ आह पू॒षा मा॑ धात्सुकृ॒तस्य॑ लो॒के ॥ (२)

अग्नि और सोम इसी बात को कह रहे हैं. पूषा देव हमें पुण्य लोक में प्रतिष्ठित करें. (२)

Agni and Som are saying this. May Pusha Dev establish us in the virtuous world. (2)
म्रो॒को म॑नो॒हाख॒नो नि॑र्दा॒ह आ॑त्म॒दूषि॑स्तनू॒दूषिः॑ ॥ (३)

भंग करने वाला, विनाशक, पलायन करने वाला, मन को दबाने वाला, दाह उत्पन्न करने वाला, खोदने से प्राप्त होने वाला और देह को दूषित करने वाला जो जल है, उस से अपने शत्रुओं को युक्त करता हुआ मैं उस का त्याग करता हूं. मैं स्वयं उस का स्पर्श नहीं करूंगा. (३)

उ॒र्वश्च॑ माचम॒सश्च॒ मा हा॑सिष्टां ध॒र्ता च॑ मा ध॒रुण॑श्च॒ मा हा॑सिष्टाम् ॥ (३)

उर्व अर्थात् पकाने वाला पात्र, चमस अर्थात् चमचा धारण करने वाले और आधार मुझ से अलगन हों. (३)

Urva means cooking vessel, chamas i.e. chamcha-wearing and base should be separated from me. (3)

प्राण वायु मेरा त्याग न करे. अपान वायु भी मुझे छोड़ कर न जाए. (३)

Let the air of life not abandon me. Don't let your air leave me. (3)
तं त्वा॑ स्वप्न॒तथा॒ सं वि॑द्म॒ स नः॑ स्वप्न दुः॒ष्वप्न्या॑त्पाहि ॥ (३)

हे प्रश्न! हम तुम्हें भलीभांति जानते हैं. तुम हमें बुरे स्वप्नों से बचाओ. (३)

This is the question! We know you very well. You save us from nightmares. (3)

सु॒श्रुतौ॒कर्णौ॑ भद्र॒श्रुतौ॒ कर्णौ॑ भ॒द्रं श्लोकं॑ श्रूयासम् ॥ (४)
हि हिन्दी अनुवाद
मेरे कान भलीभांति तथा निकट से सुनना कभी न छीढ़ें. मेरे नेत्र गरुड़ के समान हों तथा सदैव देखने की शक्ति से सम्पन्न रहें. (४)

Never let my ears smell good and closely listening. May my eyes be like garuda and always be full of the power to see. (4)
वि॑मो॒कश्च॑मा॒र्द्रप॑विश्च॒ मा हा॑सिष्टामा॒र्द्रदा॑नुश्च मा मात॒रिश्वा॑ च॒ माहा॑सिष्टाम् ॥ (४)

मुक्त करने वाला तथा गीला आयुध, आर्ट्रदानु और मातरिश्वा अर्थात् पवन मुझ से अलग न हो. (४)
