Description

The Chandogya Upanishad is one of the largest and oldest Upanishads, belonging to the Samaveda. It contains some of the most famous teachings in all of Hindu philosophy, including the dialogue between Uddalaka and his son Shvetaketu.

The great mahavakya "Tat Tvam Asi" (Thou Art That) is from this Upanishad — one of the four great sayings that define the identity of Atman and Brahman. It also contains profound teachings on Om, prana, meditation, and the nature of consciousness.
